Welcome back to this week’s edition of To Do Tuesday hosted by Carol @ Quilt Schmilt.
What Got Done This Week
With last Friday being a Quilty day with my quilty friends, it ended up being a fairly productive week. Let’s take a look.
- I finished the next set of Daydreamer four patch blocks (previously referred to as March block of the month hosted by Pat Sloan)
- I finished sewing Block 15 and assembling Section 1 of the Sweet Childhood Memories QAL hosted by Pat Sloan.
- I finished sewing July 3rd block (yipee! It’s been a while)
- I got both Scrappiness is Happiness Blocks cut : Checkerboard Star & Grandma’s Donut.
- I finished sewing Checkerboard Star block for the Scrappiness is Happiness SAL. I think this is my favorite block to day. I did have to take it apart after almost finishing it when I realized that I forgot to trim down the 9 patch block in the center.
- I finished binding 2 1/2 of the Pink Placemats.
- Completed sewing the front of Ivy & Iris project bag
- Finished sewing the front of the American Flag Cross Stitch pillow and cutting the backing.
- Sewed up a block for an older project that had fallen to the wayside: Churn Dash
- Cut & Sewed the June Monthly Color Challenge block.
- Pulled fabrics for 100 blocks in 100 days challenge coming up. Order some solids to go with my fabric pull. Hoping it arrives soon.
- I finished block 1 of the #100days100blocks. I am anxiously awaiting my solids order from alisonglass.com

Afterthoughts
I pulled out all of my patriotic fabrics and mini charms this week. I am feeling really inspired to throw together at least a table runner and maybe some placemats for the month of July. I found the perfect table runner pattern in my new book I picked up in Reno last week.
Earlier this week I ordered some newsprint to make these scrappy red & white blocks. I just can’t wait to get started! Look at all that gorgeous red, white, and blue fabric I have.
I have also put some thought in how I want to change how I store my thread. While my current way is all neat (while you don’t need anything) but the minute you need to go through the threads, it is a pain in the bobbin. I realized last night when I was reordering project boxes for my quilty projects, that they were the perfect height for aurfil thread. So I did a quick test run. I absolutely love it!!! The new boxes came this morning, so I will be reorganizing my threads! I will try and remember to take a photo to show next week.

Love the Americana pillow. That is a pretty Scrappiness is Happiness block, and what is the gorgeous fabric on your churn dash block? Good luck on your 5K!
How fun seeing all the patriotic projects. I’m always too late when it comes to those! I esp like the patriotic pillow project!
