To Do Tuesday #154

Welcome Back! School starts here today and so mornings are a bit more hectic getting from place to place, but the rest of the day was a dream! LOL! My Quilt Zoom day on Friday went well and I can’t wait to share.

Yes! I will be linking up with Carol @ Quilt Schmilt for this week’s To Do Tuesday. Please check it out per the link below.

Weekly Progress

I had a full day on Friday as well as an hour here and there through out the week to work on things including organizing and unpacking.

Organizing

I have spent multiple days empyting up to 15 boxes over the course of this week from fabric to tools.

  • cutting table setup
  • Unpacking fabric boxes
  • Sorting fabric by color
  • Loading shelves by precut sizes
FINISHED: Sparkle & Shine 2021 Cotton Cuts Mystery Quilt Top

I finally got the borders cut and assembled. It was a joyous moment when I sewed the last border on. That final border really changes the look. Love how it turned out!

FINISHED: Set of 4 Spring Napkins
Completed Spring Napkins & Placemats ready to be bound

I found these napkins in the project box for the spring placemats and decided to check them off the list. I am enjoying how bright and cheerful they are. I also finished making and prepping the binding for the set of 4 spring placemats as well as getting all of the placemats trimmed up.

Olympia 2021 Cotton Cuts Mystery Quilt
2021 Cotton Cuts Mystery Quilt – Olympia – center finished

I pulled out this mystery quilt to start assembling Clue 10. This is the finished center of the quilt.

Dragonfruit Quilt by Fat Quarter Shop
Under the Needle: Simba with Fairy Dust border

I cut, sewed, and ironed all four wide borders for the BOM quilt – Dragonfruit.

Ruby’s Garden EPP Quilt
Ruby’s Garden block 25 finish

I have been slacking this year on all my EPP projects. It is hard to believe that it has been a year since I finished a block, but it has been. I hope to be more consistent from now on.

Musings

Nala & Simba watching a Praying Mantis

My furbabies have had a busy week hunting small insects and lizards. Nala even brought a lizard into the house! Lucky for me I saw it happen and was quick enough to catch and release back outside.

Happy Mail
New Tutto rolling bags – Kaffee & Tula

The rolling bags came last week but I wanted to share with you these two beautiful bags I got from Brewer Sewing. I also ordered and received my Tula Pink patches and charms which are going to be used for a class project I am doing at a virtual retreat in September.

Long Arm Update

I am still on the hunt for my quilting supplies. I attended another Zoom Question & Answer session today for New Owners which was really good. It did make me realize though, that I should at least watch the online course even though I haven’t found my needles, bobbins, and thread. At least then I will be ready to hit the ground running.

I also scheduled my one hour consult for new owners for September 3rd so even more important to get prepared while I still empty boxes.

Happy Quilting!

  1. Peggy you are so right! The borders on both Sparkle and Shine quilts just finish them perfectly. Your studio is going to be incredible when you get it all set up; so much space and beautiful lighting. Love the napkins that you “found” in the project box. The center of your Mystery Quilt is stunning. Love the new travel bags. Thank you for sharing on ToDo Tuesday. Hope you had another creative week and accomplished a lot on your list.
