Quilt Diary: April One Monthly Goal Finish

April is winding up and so I thought I would give an update on my one monthly goal which was the Baby Rag Quilt. FINISHED!!! I am so excited to finish. I had hoped to do some different techniques on the squares, just ran out of time.

My accuquilt did not cut cleanly. I have to test to see if it is the die or the new Go Big! Is the problem. I was a little sad because I have done this quilt before and have the die but it is not accessible right now. I bought a new die and a new cutting machine. I will test that so I can follow up on what is the cause of the no cuts.

The quilt itself turned out fantastic! I was pleased with the end results and the arrangement of colors etc. Laura, my co-worker, was thrilled and very happy. I still have in my head to make a matching receiving blanket and a few burb clothes this week. I got lucky and she is staying one week longer than the original April 27th.

Once I focused, the quilt went together super fast and easy. I made a few boo boos but no big deal. Love the peach!

This was one of my Q2 Finishalong Goals.  The original list can be found at Quilt Diary: #2018FAL Quarter 2 Goals .  If you are interested in the FinishALong, you can go HERE to find more information with Capitola Quilter – one of the hosts.

I am linking up with Elm Street Quilts April Finish

Enjoy!
