Hello Adventurers:
It has been a while since I posted so we have some catching up to do.
JANUARY ONE MONTHLY GOAL
Last weekend I was able to finish the back to my brother’s quilt. I still have to name that quilt and I am leaning towards Two-Step Jewels. Continue reading “Quilt Diary: Catching Up”
I found another link up on instagram called 2018 Finish-A-Long #2018FAL. You can link up at several different blogs and this one is quarter goals. There are a number of global hosts and one of them happens to be right here in the bay area – www.capitolaquilter.blogspot.com
Hello Adventurers:
Today I finished the top of the Two Step Quilt which brings me one step closer to my goal which is finishing this quilt for my brother in January. Sewed the outer 6 inch border on Continue reading “Quilt Diary: January One Monthly Goal progress”
Hi Adventurers:
As I mentioned in my earlier quilt post this month, my goal is to finish a quilt I made using a jelly roll and Jenny Doan’s (MSQC) two step block. I liked the block and pulled out a jelly roll to make it with no intentions other than to try out the block. My daughter Caitlin passed onto me that my brother was hoping I would make him a quilt too. In 2017, I made my sister Continue reading “Quilt Diary: Two Step Quilt”
Hello Adventurers:
Just wrapping up my Montreal trip with the long day we had on Wed, Jan 3rd trying to get home. This is the second trip I have used Air Canada (as well as my second trip to Canada). I have got to say, I am not a big fan of Air Canada. Both trips my first flight was delayed Continue reading “Travel Diary: Air Canada”
So wrapping up our last couple of days here. Not a lot of things open on New Years. We ate in and ordered delivery with all the cold snowy conditions. I must be getting use to cold because I was thinking 1F/-17C was warmer. Continue reading “Travel Diary: Montreal Jan 2018”
I have joined in Elm Street Quilts #onemonthlygoal for January. While posting on Instagram, I saw the new designers and one of them is quilting Jet girl who has a #2018PlanningParty. Unfortunately, I missed her cut off for 2018 goals as it ended December 31st. So I decided to post those goals here. My #onemonthlygoal is to finish my brother Scott’s Continue reading “Quilt Diary: 2018 Goals”
The quilt I am going to share with you is a baby quilt for one of the young couples who work for me. Trina has in the past house and cat sat for me. She has been in our lives for a long time. But honestly, all the guys and gals who work in the corporate office who have had babies have received a baby quilt from me. Continue reading “Frayed Gecko Quilt”
Hi Adventurers!
Today we took the train to the Olympic Park. It is still nippy out there -4F/-20C right now at 6pm. Luckily there are a few indoor choices at the Olympic Park so we decided on the Biodome and Planterium. It only took us 3-4 hours to do both plus a 50 minute train ride each way from Snowden, that ended up being Continue reading “Travel Diary: Montreal Dec 2017 (part 3)”
