Welcome back my Stitchy Friends! The week just flew by for me. I had a couple of down days this week. Got caught up doing home stuff and too tired to pick up any projects. Otherwise it has been a good week!
Starts & Finishes
Dispite my distractions this week, I have had two finishes that I want to share with you.
Merry Moments Collection: Light the Way by Hands on Design

I am so far behind on this Pateron series, yet I can’t help be excited about them. I finished Sweets for Santa last month which I still need to final finish. Now adding this one to the list to FFO. It was a fun stitch. It was beyond satisfying to stitch all those pine boughs. Can’t wait to start #3 in the series – Plaid Tidings.
30 Acorns Class Pre-Stitching: Cornut-copia by Hands on Design

So pleased to wrap up the first (and largest) chart of four to have done before my class at Acorns & Thread in July with Cathy from Hands on Design. It felt great to get this one done. The hardest part was starting and finding a rhythm and the best part was stitching those cute little highlights into each acorn.
WIP Updates
I just have a few to share with my two days off. Let’s take a look:
Make Today Count by Hands on Design

Can you believe this is 400+ stitches? Me neither. Almost finished with all the words. More next month.
2025 SJ Temp Moon Phases by Climbing Goat Designs

My goal for this month was to finish through the 15th. Mission accomplished. Still in love with how awesome this looks! Definitely not the easiest temperature stitch I have ever done but looks great. My bookcase from 2024 is still my most favorite. I think I might try to make that one into a temperature quilt.
Fieldguide to Dragons by Climbing Goats Design

Goal was to stitch at least 400 stitches. This red dragon is called a Welsh Dragon. He is looking a lot like Welsh shields. I am just over a third of the way done. Loving it.
JULY WIPGO PULLS

Project 9: Winter Stitching Season by Stitching with the Housewives

Hmmm. While I want to work on this one, I am wishing it was the Summer Stitching Season. I usually make a goal of 2000 stitches for a WIPGO project but I just not feeling it. Sigh. We will make the goal but probably won’t get it all done. A lot on my plate.
Project 17: Oakly Acorn by Robin Pickens

I started this one last fall but didn’t get far. I love fall stitches so am excited to get some time in on this one. Once again the WIPGO goal is 2000 stitches.
Plans & Reflections

Did okay on last week’s plan but missed half of it. No doubt that is because I only stitched 5 days instead of 7. I am still running behind on everything. This is what I have for next week so far:
- 2026 Vancouver Solar System
- Ocean Wonders
- Crescent City Velaris
- 30 Acorns
- Fieldguide to Dragons needs another 50+ stitches
- Fruit of Plenty is almost completely current. Just need another 200 stitches
- Oct Square Dance
To wrap up the week I want to do a bunch of starts for the 4th of July and one finish:
- Finish Patriotic Quaker
- Start Sweetly Saying 4th of July
- Drum Blessing (not sure if I have everything for this one so this is a maybe)
- Our Land
That’s a wrap for this week. Everyone enjoy your weekend and I will chat with you next week.
