It’s been a couple of weeks since I posted as I have been on the road with hockey again. This weekend I will be doing a class with Cathy of Hands on Design and Lois of Ladydot Creates. A matter of fact I am in class now when this is posting. I can’t wait to share next Friday!
Starts
Autumn Beauties MSAL with Fat Quarter Shop in 2021

This is a project I had wanted to stitch last year but I couldn’t participate because I had a full plate. I also struggled with the fabric for this project. I ended up using the called for 14 ct Oatmeal aida by Lori Holt. I tried a couple of other fabrics in my stash but it just didn’t go with the Classic Colorworks threads which I ended up having in my stash except for a couple.
Felt nice to finally start this. I love Sunflowers!
September Barn Sweet Barn by Lori Holt

I knew I would only be able to start this one in September since I was working so hard to finish the pre-stitching for my upcoming class. I was pleasantly surprised to find I had all 5 DMC colors called for this month on 20 ct white lugana.
Let’s Talk Summer by Hands on Designs

Although I know it isn’t summer anymore, I really felt the need to start the small chart from this one. I didn’t want to skip the season and who can resist watermelon?! I am still using 16 ct black aida with called for DMC colors.
Finishes
Since I have been prepping for this class this weekend, it isn’t surprising that it is the only thing I finished this week.
Pre Stitching for Hands on Designs Class Projects

Woohoo! I finished stitching all the parts. It was a challenge for me to stitch on 32 ct linen. I think it looks pretty good. Now all I have to do is gather all my stuff for class.
Works in Progress
Let’s Talk Autumn by Hands on Designs

I originally started stitching the leaves on perforated paper before I decided to switch from black to brown perforated paper. So I don’t really have anything to show you. When I was looking through my project page, I was happy to see that I was halfway done with the medium chart for Autumn so now I am feeling pretty good for this one!
Summer Baskets by Hands on Designs

I am not sure why I am moving at a crawl with this one. I absolutely love the design and it’s not hard. Go Figure. I did order the finishing Fabrics for the pillows.
Upcoming
This weekend I am in Modesto for this Cross Stitch Finishing class and next weekend I am in quilt classes at Pacific International Quilt Festival. I am signed up for classes Thursday & Friday.
That means that this next week I won’t have time to do any Final Finishes after my class ends on Saturday. Busy. Busy.

So I will keep on plugging away at my stitching if you do!
Have a great weekend everyone!
