To Do Tuesday #173

Wow this week flew by! I can’t believe it is already Tuesday again. My calendar has been packed with “doing things”. Still attending a number of live Zoom seminars on various subjects which are interesting as well as meeting with vendors for my home as I gear up to do some sewing studio basic upgrades such as wiring and lights. Plus some shades for each of the sewing rooms. PNW is an interesting beast with the darker winters and the very light summers. When the sun shines, it is unbelievably blue skies. When it rains, we have some many shades of gray that nature provides that it could teach fabric & quilt designers a thing or two about color.

I will be linking up with Carol’s Schmilt To Do Tuesday again this week. Just click on Blog Post at the top of the page to find the link to To Do Tuesday for this week.

Rain. Rain. Rain. We are full on PNW winter now. We need the rain and the snow pack. I have not seen the sun often this past week, but it has peeked out 🌥️

To Do Tuesday #171

It is here. ☔️. The rain has arrived here in the Pacific Northwest. We even had a little sleet yesterday. They said it would snow. I couldn’t see how that would happen. It is just not cold enough. The cool thing about the rain here is the sun often peeks out through out the day. 🌦️ So cool. I even seen the most amazing rainbows🌈

I plan to link up with Carol who is also in the Pacific Northwest just more North. Check out all the projects.

To Do Tuesday #158

While I did try to hit the studio every day, I only managed to hit it a few days this past week. I was stoked to make it up there as much as I did as were Nala and Simba. They love it when I am in the sewing studio. I am still in the midst of figuring out what got unpacked when my helper was here in October. Honestly, I would rather sew then organize most days so I went with the flow this week.

I will be linking up again this week with Carol over at Quilt Schmilt for To Do Tuesday. Come join us!

Floss Friday #143

I am still playing catchup (again) 🤣 I never posted last week because it was quilt zoom day and then I just … forgot. Oopsie! So here we are making up for lost time.

I have a bit to share with you but first wanted to just let you know I have been on a hunt for the fabric I knew I purchased for the June WIPGO project Field Guide to Dragons. I searched in all my unpacked cross stitch supplies (and realized I am missing all of my 14 ct aida hmmm). Then I realized that I probably had put it in the tote bag of cross stitch haul that still needs to be scanned and organized. I looked in that tote twice. I went to put away some recent haul from 123 Stitch and my new FQS Stitch Quarterly in THAT tote. Guess what I found? Yep, the missing fabric. What a relief!

To Do Tuesday #143

Whew! What a chaotic two weeks! My daughter Caitlin is happily married and getting ready to two weeks of camping (and half marathons) with her new hubby at Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. The wedding day went off without a hitch. It was great to see my grandson Shaun after almost six weeks. Here are a few photos from the wedding day:

To Do Tuesday #142

With two quilt zoom days, I was hoping to have more to share with you. I only worked on foundation paper piecing on Friday. I meant to do some cutting over the weekend, but was distracted with other chores related to moving to a new home. LOL! Monday morning found me scrambling for things to do during my second quilt zoom day this week. A few that you will recognize and others that I worked on because they were unpacked.

I plan on linking up with Carole at Quilt Schmilt again this week for To Do Tuesday. Thanks Carole for hosting!! Come over and check out our small groups list of projects. Feel free to join in.
