Floss Friday #194

Hello Stitchy Friends! Last post of August. Can you believe it! The week has gone by quickly. As usual, my expectations were much higher than my time to complete those expectations. But I made a nice dent. So let’s take a look at this week’s projects.

Starts & Finishes

One! Just one new start with plans for so many more. LOL! My grandiose plans 🙄 have not come to fruitation this month. Yet, I can’t regret being an optimist. So let’s take a look at what I did get started.

Aug WIPGO Project #23: Stitching Quilt by Primrose Cottage

Over three days I got this project started and finished 1500 stitches. The goal for the month is 2000! 🤞🏼I am thinking I might actually finish this WIPGO goal this month as well. Yes!

This is being stitched on 16 ct Pewter aida with the called for Colour & Cotton floss. This is so cute. This has been absolutely a delight to stitch.

WIP Updates

While I have made some great progress, this progress has been stretched out over multiple days. I had gotten so used to having 4-6 hours to stitch every night, adjusting to only an hour or two every night has been difficult.

Make Today Count by Hands on Design

This week I finished my August goal of 400 stitches on this project. I continued working on the border around the words as well as the left border. There is a lot of backstitching involved in these borders but I did make some good progress.

Summer Stitching Season by Stitching with the Housewives

I wanted to make sure I worked on this project one last time before pulling out of rotation. Over a two day period, I was able to stitch the 400 goal. I love how the sunflowers are turning on this one. I was able tot finish the bottom border and the last house. All that is left is the word “ Summer “ and top border.

Fieldguide to Dragons by Climbing Goat Designs

I worked on the left border and was able to finish the next section. I still have about a 100 stitches to do to finish the monthly goal of 400. I will be starting the orange dragon. That will be the plan to finish this upcoming week.

Plans & Reflections

I don’t think I have any reflections. So no rambling. We will just take a look at my plans for the upcoming week.

  • Finish up Shabby Winter Calendar
  • Start HOD Plaid Tidings
  • Finish Stitching Quilt
  • Start October Square Dance
  • The Scarecrow
  • Fieldguide to Dragons
  • Make a plan for September

Okay my Stitchy Friends. I am going to say goodbye for now. Have a great time stitching!
