EPP DIARY: June 2021

Another month has slipped by with plenty of hockey. A matter of fact there has been so much hockey that I kind of got burnt out for a week. I took a week off and just read instead. LOL!

1920’s Farmer’s Wife Quilt Update

Partial block 45

This is still on hold. I need to unstitch a shape so I can trace it and replace the missing pieces and recut them. At this point, I don’t even remember which one so I will have to figure it out now. Silly me for waiting for so long.

Lost & Found Quilt by Paperpieces.com Update

Completed block 17

I was able to finish up block 17 and start block 18 this week. That felt really good.

It is time to start pulling fabric for blocks 19 and 20. There is only four blocks left I think after I finish block 18. I can’t believe I am so close to finishing the blocks. Next I will need to add the sashing.

Ruby’s Double Diamond Garden Quilt Update

Completed Block 15

I was able to finish up this block last week and got a nice start on Block 16. That is the last one that is ready to sew. I need to prep another couple of blocks for this project as well.

The beginning of block 16 using Liberty of London and Lori Holt fabrics.

Potholder Update

I cut the binding for my New Hexagon potholders but haven’t done anything else with them. Soon.

8 pointed Star

I did finish piecing both 8 pointed stars for a different set of potholders intended for my sister Cheryl. She requested gray. I think they are pretty boring, but she seems to like them.

I need to applique them to their square, layer, baste, and quilt. It will be interesting to figure out how to tuck the points.

Wrap Up

My granddaughter Grace is hanging out today

School is out and it looks like June is going to be a very busy summer with hockey and hopefully travel. Here in California almost everyone is vaccinated. In another week we are scheduled open up here after all this COVID lockdown.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you found something to inspire you.

Peggy

  1. Hi Peggy! Your granddaughter, Grace, look so cute. She also looks like she might be a good helper! I wanted to thank you for all the message love last week! I don’t think the 8-pointed star for your sister’s potholder is boring at all. I look forward to seeing it complete. ~smile~ Roseanne
