Another week has flown by and I am happy to share that I was in the sewing studio several times this week. Still only working on one project as I am still unpacking and organizing my space. Yet, it feels good to be sewing again.
I will be linking up with Carole at Quilt Schmilt again this week for To Do Tuesday linkup. Check it out.

Last Week’s Progress
Let’s take a look at what I was able to do this past week.
- Finished sewing Dragonfruit Month 5 blocks into their final “section”
- I assembled the Dragonfruit Month 6 flying geese units into 6 inch blocks
- Finished sewing all four Economy blocks from Month 6
- AND started finished sewing all four Courthouse blocks for Month 6 (woohoo!)
- Unpacked a few more boxes in the sewing studio.
- Had helpers move boxes downstairs that were really household boxes in the sewing studio and move fabric boxes upstairs along with some other items such as the ironing board.
- Contacted Gammill regarding resetting up my longarm. It turns out, I could have had them take it down but no one shared that with me at the time. I was just told they no longer MOVE them. I interpreted that to mean they wouldn’t do anything. My bad. I should have asked for more details.
- Got my May Goals set. They are pretty minimal for May.
- Received my new mini iron and cordless iron. Don’t like the new mini iron so going to return it. Used the cordless iron at the sewing machine. Not a good fit so called my daughter to see if she could bring me the mini iron I got her (that she never uses). Voila! I have my favorite mini iron on hand now.

To Do List for This Week
With the majority of my stuff still in boxes, the list is still fairly abbreviated it. I hope to maybe pull out a few more things before my two quilt zoom days this next Friday and Monday. It will be more of what I find to work on right? It will be a surprise next week but hopefully there will be more to share.

Musings
I have been sharing these acronyms I found on instagram. I can’t remember whose page they were. I didn’t realize that the author wasn’t in the photos. Sorry about that. I found them …. Relevant. Such as this week’s SABLE – Stash Accumulated Beyond Life Expectancy. I find it amusing, because I deliberately collected fabrics I like for future unknown projects to do when I retired. I have been retired 5 years and have barely made a dent. If anything, I have added to the stash. While I am making a lot of projects (WIPs), this is a case that my dreams are more than my time to make those dreams. Anyone else in that boat.
A couple of years ago, I had said no new starts for the whole year thinking that would mean, I would finish. Well when you have a 100 wips, you have plenty of projects to work on without starting anything. While I am not going to beat myself up over this, I did realize, I need to be more direct with myself. Even writing finish 12 quilt tops is too vague for ME. I need it spelled out more. Something for myself to think about for my June goals in a couple of weeks.

I keep forgetting to take my phone to my sewing studio when I am up there so I have not been able to share my space with you. Never fear, Nala and Simba have been sharing my space with enthusiasm. They especially like looking out the window while I am sewing. I had a window in my other space, but cars and people were the main things you could see out those windows. They seem to love staring out at the trees. I am rethinking having my sewing machine in front of the window because it has become their viewing platform. I might need to put a table or some other thing in front of the window for them to sit on.
Good luck this week on all your projects and I look forward to sharing what I find to work on for my Quilt Zoom days with you next week.
