To Do Tuesday #110

Hello from Redding, California! It was over 100F yesterday when I got here. Today is expected to be cooler at 94F. LOL! I am looking forward to going to Lassen Volcanic National Park tomorrow. I went last fall but only had time to see half of what I wanted. The park is generally cooler than Redding because you are in the mountains. Can’t wait!

I will be linking up with Carol over at Quilt Schmilt for To Do Tuesday. Come check it out.

Under the Needle Last Week 🪡 🧵

Got in some quailty time this week. I wish it could have been every day, but super happy with what I did do. Let’s take a look.

Tula Pink Tiny Beast using Jelly Basket pattern from MSQC FINISH!

First up is another top finish. I let Nala check it out as she is the quality inspector for all this material.

Everything else!
  1. Finished up my monthly goal – one churn dash block. They are all precut, but that quilt isn’t my focus so I just have been trying to do at least one block every month.
  2. Finished set of 4 blocks that I am using as my Leaders & Enders project: Daydreamer Pat Sloan’s Block of the Day from March 2023
  3. I have prepped my Foundation Paper Piecing Log Cabin blocks to do this month plus this one Economy block. I finished 2 log cabins in this Sky blue color and the Ruby Economy block.
  4. I love how the August 2024 Cottage block turned out and doesn’t it look great with the July Cottage.
  5. I keep plugging away assembling the 2023 100 days blocks. This quilt will be borderless. I am loving the rainbow effect that you can see in the assembled first 6 rows that Nala is checking out. I started Row 7 (not pictured)

Just reminding myself. 🐒

Afterthoughts

Cats & Quilts (Nala & 2023 100 days)

Nala had a very busy week keeping on top of her inspection duties. Sometimes she was caught laying down on the job like she is above. There were even moments that she would sit on the work to be done. We still made a lot of progress.

Not sure how much will get done this week since I am on a mini vacation for a few days, but I am sure we will catch up when I get back in time for a Zoom Quilting day on both Friday and Monday this week. I just hope I have enough to keep me busy on Friday. I don’t expect to get home early on Thursday. I saw a Wildlife Refuge that I want to stop on the way home, plus I need to stop at the quilt store in Sacramento as well.

Thank you for stopping by. All comments are welcome! Inspsiration is free. Have a great week!

  1. Hi Peggy. Congrats on the finish. It is lovely and Nala approved; perfect! Thank you for sharing the link to To-Do Tuesday and for joining our last party. I hope you enjoyed your trip to Lassen Park and the lovely fall weather in the mountains. Good luck this week. I’m hoping to see lots of progress on your next week’s list. 😁 Carol
