So happy with how this week has gone. I wrapped up November finishing 4 WIPS and only starting 3. So that means my WIPS are down to 21. I am not sure if I will reach last year end’s number but I am feeling pretty good about the outcome.
Starts & Finishes
I only had one start and one finish planned, but I was surprised when I ended up have 2 finishes. Nice.
August Cottage of the Month by Country Cottage Needleworks
I was thrilled to finally finish this one up. I love the ocean vibe with this one. I was looking at my series and I just have two more to do – April & October. I do not plan on starting either of them this month but soon.
December Nine Patch by Primrose Cottage
I can’t believe it but I started and finished this ALL in one day. I know part of it was because I watched several World Cup games and then later last night I watched hockey. I haven’t done that before. Also it helped that they were pretty simple shapes with little color changes. So cute!
Final Finishes
None again this week.
Works in Progress this Week
When I started the blog, I was thinking I wasn’t going to have anything for this section except for November Truckin Along, then I flipped to my log and saw that I had an extremely productive day yesterday.
November Trucking Along by Stitching with the Housewives
This was the only project I took to Seattle when I went for Thanksgiving. Of course, when Caitlin (my daughter) was home, I didn’t get much done, but she had to work 2 of the days I was there and it was pouring down rain which discouraged any wish to be outside. So I watched all four world cup matches each day and worked on this project. I had high hopes I would finish in November. I finished the lower portion of the chart but not the upper. So, now I have split up what is left so I can do them during the week this week. Like last night was the leaves under the word November. Tonight is the pumpkins, etc.
I haven’t finished a big project in a reasonable amount of time in a long time, that it sure inspired me.
Santa Baby 2020 Stitch Quarterly by Fat Quarter Shop
With December upon us, I pulled out this stitch from 2020 to see what I have left to do. I just have Santa’s beard left but boy is it boring to stitch nothing but white with a few black highlights here and there. So I set a goal of two threads every night until I finish. Let’s see how far that gets me this week. You guys can take a look and see what you think.
Upcoming
I am so excited about my WIPS I pulled out of my closet to work on this month. Check out the picture at the top of the page. I know I won’t be able to finish all of them because they are fairly large projects, but I feel pretty confident I can make a significant dent in them. PLUS this week I will start another Christmas stitch. This one by Heart in Hand – Christmas Tiny Town! So excited to start this and see how it progresses.
The next seven days have me working on Santa Baby every day, finishing up November Truckin Along, starting Snow Village Banner chart by Country Cottage Needleworks, working on Prim Stitch, Summer Baskets, and Christmas Calendar by Tiny Modernist. I was so excited that I even scheduled what days I would be working on each of them! LOL!
I hope everyone can find so inspiration with these stitches. You looking for something quick definitely look into the 9 Patch series! Have a awesome week and weekend.
Peggy Stockwell
You definitely inspire me Peggy! I love the December Nine Patch. I thought of you this morning when I pulled out a Christmas sampler cross stitch I did a couple years ago. All of your projects are great eye candy. 🙂
Thanks Linda! The Nine Patch series are so cute and fast. And so quilty but not. Have an awesome day!
