Welcome back Stitchy Friends! Anyone following the World Cup. I have to admit I have been caught up in the excitement. Even better, all three host country’s teams are doing fabulous – Mexico, Canada, and United States. Definitely giving me more time to stitch.
Starts & Finishes
Just one finish to share this week.
FINISH: JUNE WIPGO Project 21: April Month 2 Month Button by Stitching with the Housewives

These daffodils are just a delight to stitch. I love the yellows that Priscilla picked. Their charts always amaze me how they take just a few colors and make amazing charts. The overall goal is 2000 stitches for April Month 2 Month. This is the first of two for the month. This small chart was 696. Still have a lot of stitches to do for the month. Love the results.
WIP Updates
While I did a lot of stitching (at least it felt like a lot), I focused on a few projects. Let’s take a look at my WIPS.
30 Acorns Pre-Stitching for July 2026 class by Hands on Design for Acorns & Thread

I have gotten some quality time on the largest of four charts I need to finish before class. Once I got the grid down it became pretty easy to work on. I had a moment where I had to do some unstitching because the acorns highlight switches sides each row. I didn’t initially catch that. I am closing in on finishing this chart called: Cornut-copia which will be the base of a tray that we will finish in class. This project has 18 acorns. Between the 4 charts I will be stitching a total of 30 acorns to celebrate my local stores 30th anniversary. I thought Cathy was very clever.
2025 SJ Moon Phases by Climbing Goat Designs

The goal is to finish through September 15, 2025 in June. While I haven’t dedicated a full night to working on this, I have thrown in one or two moons each week to stitch. I think I will try and finish up this coming week. Just love how beautiful it looks. 🏳️🌈
Snowman Collector: The Scarecrow by Cottage Garden Samplings

Working on the wheat stalks has been interesting if boring. I did think it was fascinating working on the wheat. Looking forward to working on this one more.
Patriotic Quaker by Primrose Cottage

Finished up my goal for the month on this project. So close to finishing…. Enjoying this color palette. I am looking forward to July.
Plans & Reflections

Do I have any plans this week? I can’t believe the month is almost over. Crazy to think about. Here is what I am thinking:
- Finish up Light the Way from the Hands on Design Ornament Club
- Make Today Count
- 2025 SJ Moon Phases
- Fieldguide to Dragons
- 2026 Vancouver Solar System
- Ocean Wonders
- Crescent City Velaris
Not feeling very reflective at the moment. A lot of things I am working on right now. Okay. Maybe one reflection. I am doing way better than last year!
Have a great weekend everyone.
