Floss Friday #158

Hello Everyone! I started thinking about Thanksgiving this week. I am looking forward to good food and company. It makes it one of my favorite times of the year. I look forward to the fellowship!

The week was productive. I hit all of my weekly goals and most of my monthly goals. Let’s take a look at this week’s projects.

Starts & Finishes

I had two starts and one finish for the week. So exciting to make this progress.

My goal for the month with these starts is to get the ball rolling for next year. I hope to finish a few smalls but not expecting to.

START: Pumpkin Pals by Fat Quarter Shop

This kit was last year’s fall Stitch Quarterly. This project is stitched on 14 ct platinum using DMC floss. I was able to get at least 400 stitches in on this cute little project.

START: Corny Cruiser to Teresa Kogut

I accidentally ordered this kit with 36 ct coffee stain linen instead of 18 ct aida. I have a hard time working on 28 ct so you can imagine how hard it is to work on 36 ct. I was pleased to finish as much as I did. This kit has mostly DMC but a few Weeks Dye Works and one Classic Colorworks. A good start.

FINISH: Pop(corn) of Blessings by Bent Creek

Once I got started I couldn’t stop until it was done. Working with pearl cotton is often challenging and fun. I do enjoy working with this 20 ct linen and pearl cotton. I was very pleased when I finished. First fall finish of the month.

WIP Updates

I worked on a few projects this week including one of my WIPGO Project.

WIPGO Project 3: Shabby Winter Calendar by Cuore e Batticuore

It was nice to get back to working on this gorgeous project. I did work on it almost monthly this year. I am feeling hopeful of finishing this during the winter season. I started on the first of the three days I hope to finish this month. You can’t tell yet, but Day 16 is a red and white sweater. ❄️

Crescent City Velaris by Woven Wild Crafts

I finished my first page of this 30 page project. Whoo Hoo!!!! Instead of moving on to page 2 I decided to work on page 7. I had to spend some time to finish setting up this page to work on in Mark R-XP before finishing my 400 stitch goal for this month. So pleased to be moving forward.

Fieldguide to Dragons by Climbing Goat Designs

The last WIP project I worked on this week was this fun Fieldguide of Dragons. Last time I finished the blue dragon and I am now starting the green dragon. In order to do that I had to work some more on the border.

Reflections and Plans

Closeup of Nov Stackables WIP 10/3/2025

I was taking a look at what I hoped to finish this month. While I have touched achieved the majority of my goals, my WIPGO projects and wish to finish some fall projects, this is a big ask. There is a lot to do for these projects. Add in my plans to “start” more fall projects and now it is almost an impossible task. But try I shall.

  • Finish Day 16 of Shabby Winter Calendar and start Day 17
  • Work on March Month 2 Month barn
  • Start FoxTrot
  • Start November Month 2 Month button
  • Would love to finish November Stackables project 🤞🏼

List is short but mighty. Good luck on your projects this week. Thank you for stopping by. Have a great Thanksgiving. If you are interested in my quilty projects, check out my Tuesday project here.
