To Do Tuesday #9

Whew!  Went to post on April 5th and the website was not working.  I tried a few things but needed to get ready for my vacation in Hawaii.  Finally today, I found the right number and the right person and we seem to be back in business baby!

Honestly, I didn’t do a lot since I was in Seattle April 1st – 4th and Hawaii April 11th – 18th.  I took stuff with me, but we were having way to much fun.  I hope to post a travel post soon.

I saw there was two fabric stores in Kauai and I made it to one and purchased border and backing for two future Hawaiian quilts whose charm packs I picked up 4 years ago in Maui.

Week 9 To Do List (April 19th – 25th)

Since I never actually got to do anything, we are picking up where we left off with the To Do List.  If I had been able to post I would have felt really bad anyway as I only did two things which ended up being on my Week 8 list.  Nice to have a fresh start so to speak.

I have some EPP stuff in here which I want to work on but I also have a Zoom Quilting Day with my friends so I need to make sure I have things I can work on with them.  That means my list is a little long.  Sorry!

To Do #1 – Bind & Label Over & Under Quilt
Over and Under just needs to be bound

I am determined to finish this up before next Tuesday but it’s not really a good project for group day.  I want to have a finish!  I was going to work on today but the day has gotten away from me with chasing down the website fix and now writing the blog.  Maybe tomorrow (Thursday).

To Do #2 – Make Binding for Black & Gold Quilt

I have the strips laid out next to the sewing machine and it will be perfect for Saturday Sew Day.

Black & Gold soon to binding and label
To Do #3 – Make Label for Black & Gold Quilt

Just need to do some writing and coloring for this one.  Shouldn’t take long once I am focused on it.

To Do #4 – Quilt March Table Runner
March Table runner top and back

This is another one of those, I just want to finish it things.  I have it layered & basted.  Just need to quilt it.

To Do #5 – Finish Ruby’s Garden block
Ruby’s Garden block just needs sashing

This is one of my English Paper Piecing (EPP) projects.  I worked on it while I was in Seattle and I thought I would finish it in Hawaii (because of course I took it) but that didn’t happen.  We have hockey tomorrow night so maybe tomorrow…

To Do #6 – Cut Lost & Found EPP block

I don’t have much left to do with this project.  I need to reassess where I am and what needs to be done.  I know I don’t have any blocks cut so I need to do that.  I typically cut two at a time, but I will be happy if I do one.

To Do #7 – Glue Baste Lost & Found (EPP) block

Next step to do.  Not sure if it will happen this week but just in case.

Lost and Found
To Do #8 – Piece Lost & Found (EPP) block

Once again, not sure if it will really happen, but just in case.

To Do #9 – Work on Sunflower Charm Quilt
Charmed Sunflowers Quilt

This is my APQ Resolution quilt for April.  I am pretty sure the center is assembled and this only needs borders.  Until I pull it all out, I won’t know for sure.  I do know that I have a bunch of strips I want to sew together for a keyboard piano border.  This is a perfect Sew Day project.  It will great to get my mates input.

To Do #10 – Olympia Clue #3
Olympia Clue 2

I pulled out the next clue in my mystery quilt when I finished #2.  Once again, it would be a great project for Sew Day.

To Do #11 – April Monthly Color Challenge block

I threw this one in specifically for Sew Day.  I still need to cut everything but since it is just the one now that I am current I am rolling everything into one task.  Cut & Sew my block.

2022 Monthly Color Challenge
To Do #12 – Finish a 365 block
365 days/blocks challenge Center Medallion

My quilty friends asked me about this project last month and so we had a show and tell.  My fabric, patterns, blocks, cut pieces, etc are all over the place.  But I really want to pull everything back together to begin working on this gorgeous challenge quilt by Katherine Kerr.  I haven’t worked on it in over a year and since my friends are going to work on this, it will be great to have someone to do it with.

Recap for Week 9

There is no way I will finish everything, but even if I finish 4-6 things on this list, I will call it a win.  I just never know what mood I am going to be in and I don’t want to forget to finish the things I am close to being done with.  If I finish the first four things on my list this week, I will be super close to finishing two whole quilts this month.

This week’s list
  1. Bind & Label Over & Under Quilt
  2. Make binding for Black & Gold Quilt
  3. Make label for Black & Gold Quilt
  4. Quilt March table runner

  1. Peggy you are amazing, you get so much done! I’m looking forward to your Hawaii post. I bet Simba was glad to see you back home. The backing for the March table runner is so pretty!
Thank you for sharing with To Do Tuesday!

  2. What a great week! I’ve only been to HI once, but would love to go back. And you have two EPP going, you are so productive! What size are your hexies in your Ruby’s Garden? The projects are beautiful.
