To Do Tuesday #80

Hi Everyone! Welcome to another Tuesday. I am off on a roadtrip this week. I was able to get a few things done. I am here in Nevada visiting a friend of mine and looking around at houses. A move is in my future.

I will linking up with Carol @ Quiltschmilt for To Do Tuesday. Jump over to her blog and check out all the cool projects.

What Got Done This Week

I only sewed on a few things. I spent some time cutting. Let’s check it out.

  • I finished cutting out all the blocks for On Wander Lane: Bunny Knoll wallhanging (no picture)
  • I sewed the house background block for Bunny Knoll
  • I sewed the Tulip block for Bunny knoll
  • Worked on my leaders and enders project: Daydreamer Block of the Day (no picture)
  • I sewed and trimed 16 HST using the Magic 8 method for the pieced border of Sweet Childhood Memories border
  • I sewed and trimed 16 HST for two different temps for my 2024 Temperature Cottage using the magic 8 method.

Sewing HST using the Magic 8 method is fun. I am glad I upped my starting square a 1/4 inch. They all came out perfect!

Afterthoughts

I got a little off track this week when I started planning a road trip to Nevada to visit friends. I did get in a Sew Day and a Cutting Day but didn’t make it to the other days. Yet, I feel happy and satisfied. How about you?

I get home later this week and will pick up where I left off. LOL! I pulled up that old photo of some of my meadowland blocks. I forgot how much I loved them.

I hope everyone has a great as well as productive week. Later my crafty friends.

  1. Nothing like planning for an upcoming trip and a move (!) to disrupt your sewing but you still got a lot done though. Ooh, your Tula Meadowlands looks yummy and I can sooo relate to your afterthought, LOL! Safe trip and happy house hunting!

  2. A move! How exciting Peggy – that is a beautiful part of Nevada. Your Meadowland blocks are gorgeous. I have a Meadowland quilt top finished since 2019. You just reminded me I need to quilt it! That tulip block is adorable. Enjoy your visit and have a great rest of the week!

  3. Moving is always an adevnture, hopefully the house hunting trip went well. You have lots of fun projects in the works. Good luck with your sewing list this week.
