To Do Tuesday #42

I was feeling a little under the weather a couple of weeks ago. Not actually sick, just not myself which lead to a lot of lazy days reading instead of quilting. But Monday found me back on track and ready to go! So last week ended up being fairly productive. I am splitting my time with my new online course Pattern Surface Design and quilting.

I will once again be linking up with Carol at Quilt Schmilt in British Columbia. Thank you Carol so much for hosting this lovely link up!

What Got Done This Past Two Weeks?

Let’s take a peek at what I have been working on. Last Friday was my Zoom Quilting Day so I knocked out quite a few things on Friday alone.

  1. Finished assembling the center of my Tula Pink Tiny Beast Quilt.
  2. Blocks 7,8, and 9 of the Sweet Childhood Memories QAL got sewn up.
  3. I have a total of 16 blocks completed for the March BOM
  4. Weeks 5 & 6 were sewn for the Tula Pink Butterfly Quilt SAL
  5. Sewed some more twosies for Leaders & Enders project.
  6. Appliqued my Spring project lavender thread

I felt like I got so much done, yet the list is so short. LOL!!!

To Do List for March 28th – April 3rd

Year of Words – Spring WIP (applique project)

With the month coming to an end, I am hoping to finish up a few of my projects that are close.

  1. Add Borders to Rainbow Half Square Triangle center (APQ Feb)
  2. Add Borders to Tula Pink Tiny Beast center (APQ Mar)
  3. Decide if I am really going to add another border to White Hawaiian Charm quilt. I really like all that white with the rainbow in the middle. Really leaning towards leaving it as is.
  4. Finish at least one set of my potholders for February (Love Note)
  5. Finish my mug rugs for February
  6. It would be nice to finish my Spring Wallhanging (above). There is just a little more applique to do, quilt, then bind. It’s possible but improbable. Nice goal to have.
  7. Same with my Flowers Wallhanging.
  8. Cut Tula Pink Butterfly quilt weeks 7 & 8
  9. Cut Sweet Childhood Memories blocks 10, 11, & 12
  10. Cut & Sew March Monthly Color Challenge Block
  11. Cut Scrappiness is Happiness blocks 15 & 16
  12. Start my new BOM called Wanderlane by Nancy Halvorsen. So excited!

  • February – Rainbow Half Square Triangle quilt – needs borders
  • March – Tula Pink Tiny Beast Quilt – needs borders

Wrap Up

Can you believe April is this coming weekend? We have another atomospheric river but it doesn’t seem as intense as the others this month. They are only predicting rain for one day. Typically by April we have no rain. I heard that the Tahoe ski resorts plan to stay open until July this year! That is just so crazy to hear.

It is slow going with my online class – Surface Pattern Design with Adobe Illustrator. I am moving forward but it seems like I am moving so slow. Not the class, me. Somewhere along the line I missed that I was supposed to be drawing every day as well, so I started yesterday with the daily prompts. I love learning!

On Wander Lane Quilt

I am very excited about my new Block of the Month – On Wander Lane. The first block arrived yesterday and of course I want to finish it different than what I signed up for. So I may have to buy (insert eye roll here) some extra fabric.

I wish everyone the best of luck on their to do list this week. Remember to have fun and don’t beat yourself up!

  1. Peggy your last weeks list looks like you did manage to get lots done. So many pretty projects! The surface design course is a good one. Hope you enjoy it. I love the new BOM and am still managing to resist it! Thank you for linking with To Do Tuesday. Good luck with your new list. It looks pretty full!

  2. Your new BOM looks amazing and challenging! Won’t that be fun changing out fabric and making it your own. Good luck this week with all you have planned!

  3. First, I have to say that Simba is a beautiful cat! And so helpful too, it appears. lol

You are making good progress on the Tula Pink quilt and I love the Spring applique. Have a good week. I’m looking forward to seeing your progress on these.
