To Do Tuesday #3

How quickly the week has come to an end. I got my weeks mixed up. Last week had a holiday weekend with a Sister Day, but no Zoom Quilt Day. This week is the Zoom Quilt Day. (Can you see me rolling my eyes?) Even with the mix up, I tackled some big projects and made some nice progress.

Trimmed Jack Be Quick Queen Quilt
To Do #3 – Cut hanging sleeves for Blooming Hearts wallhanging

Decided I needed to break down more last weeks list for this project so I could actually feel like I am moving forward

To Do #4 – Cut and iron binding for Blooming Hearts wallhanging

Another step broken out….

To Do #5 – Make label for Blooming Hearts

Or should I name this Hearts Blooming???

To Do #6 – Trim Hearts Blooming

Last step to break out.

Quilted Hearts Blooming to be trimmed
To Do #7 – Add hanging sleeve and label to Hearts Blooming Wallhanging

Carry forward from last week

To Do #8 – Bind Blooming Hearts wallhanging

Carry forward from last week. This is actually the last step I need to do to have a Final Finish!

To Do #9 – Assemble blocks to make center of Sunshine Quilt

Last week I had make just one row and I am changing this to assembling the entire center as I am planning on working on this project during our monthly quilting zoom meeting on Friday. I am excited to see this one come together.

To Do #10 – Make 6 heart blocks for table runner

Now that I have the strip sets sewn and laid out, it is time to sew the blocks together. These are going to be adorable! I will be saving all my trim offs in hopes to use them for either mug rugs or potholders, or both! I like using up all my hst for other projects or borders.

To Do #11 – Find Binding for Over & Under Quilt

Now that I have finished quilting this quilt, I can not find the binding that I made when I assembled the top. I swear I saw it just two weeks ago but couldn’t locate it this weekend when I was looking. This step could take a while….

To Do #12 – Make label for Over & Under quilt

Not a top priority, but why not get it done.

To Do #13 – Load Black & Gold quilt back on the long arm
Backing, Top, and Thread for Black & Gold quilt

Now that I have found backing and finished the top, I should get the backing loaded on the long arm. Of course this is a multi-step process. If it doesn’t get done this week, I will break out the steps next week. I don’t have to piece the backing, but I should trim it down. I’m still learning so maybe I don’t have to since I am using 108 backing.

  1. Wow your Jack Be Quick quilt is going to be a big one – is it for you? Nice pic of you and your Sis. Nice set of napkins! Good luck on your Hearts Blooming or Blooming Hearts quilt!
Thank you for linking up with To Do Tuesday!

    1. Thanks Linda. Yes Jack is a Queen and is my first quilt for ME!!! It is also my very first full size quilt I ever made. Thank you for the complements and I made progress yesterday on Blooming Hearts. I am down to binding! It always amazes me how checking off each step seems to motivate me. Thank you for having To Do Tuesday!
