To Do Tuesday #1

As part of my new year, I am starting the Weekly To Do list. I make this list for myself all the time so this is a way to share with all of you. I have tried to keep it doable.

#1 – Make a label for Jack Be Quick Quilt

Now that I have finished quilting and trimming my soon to be completed first quilt of 2022, I need a label before adding the binding.

#2 Load Over & Under Quilt on Long Arm

This quilt has been close to being done forever! I have picked out a cute geometric pattern to quilt it and have wound my lavender bobbins. Just need to load it on the Long Arm.

#3 Add borders to my Black and Gold quilt

This is the APQ Resolution quilt of the month. The next step is to add borders. They are cut and ready to sew on.

#4 Cut fabric for napkins

I want to make matching napkins to go with my red/pink/white placemats I finished last week. Over time I have learned to use some of the fabric from the placemats and throw in other stuff to make it seem like everything matches. Because of course, napkins is not all I want to make to coordinate. I kind of think of them as my February (or Valentine) decor for the kitchen.

#5 Cut fabric for the matching table runner

When I first started making decor for my kitchen island, I made everything very matchy matchy. Since I rarely am satisfied with what I finish in the month, I have started throwing in other fabrics so I can pick up whereever I left off from last year. I am envisioning a hearts table runner made from strip sets using a little of this and a little of that.

#6 Square up Block B for Sunshine Quilt

I am about a fourth of the way through squaring up my Block B for this quilt (the hour glass block). It turns out I squared up Block A when I worked on this quilt last. That leaves me approximately 60 blocks left to square up.

#7 Quilt Hearts Blooming wall hanging

I really had hoped to have finished this up last week but it didn’t happen, so I have put it on the list for this week. I hung all the rest of my wall hangings so I would love to get this one on the wall. It is one of my favorite series!

  1. Hi Peggy! That’s quite an ambitious list for a week. I love how your kitty is looking at your fabrics for napkins. It’s like they are waiting for the food that goes with those napkins! Those black and gold fabrics are stunning – I can’t wait to see this as a quilt top. Good luck with your list. Are you linking up with Linda at Texas Quilt Gal? {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
