Yesterday was actually a quilt day and this is really posting on Friday because I didn’t have time yesterday to type this up and Thursday was spent prepping for a productive Friday.
Just spent a few bucks on some new patterns that came out at market and I am very excited to be getting them. Meanwhile this last week I focused on meeting a few of my goals and my stitch time was limited so I didn’t get as far as I hoped.
January Calendar Crate by Stitching with the Housewives – progress
I was absolutely thrilled to finish the sign during this week. I had hoped to finish it completely in March. I only have the snowflakes left!
Let’s Talk Winter (large) by Hands on Design – progress
During the month of March I wanted to finish the top half and I have actually finished more than that so I am thrilled. That leaves me with only 3 sections to work on in April.
Fruit of Plenty by Modern Folk Embroidery – progress
I continue to plug away at this one. I have been trying to stitch every night on it but this week it got away from me. My goal is to finish March section this month. We shall see.
Oracle 2022 SAL by Oracle Tales
I have finished the first 3 releases for this stitch a long. It feels good to be current. The next release will be March 29th. In April I plan to stitch that release and April 12th release. I am so pleased with how beautiful this is turning out. I can’t wait to see what else she has.
Snow Village by Country Cottage Needleworks – progress
I am currently working on release #2 – Skate & Sled shop (which is actually #5 for me). I had high hopes to finish all of this during March. I am almost finished with the building which is taking forever but it does look great. Once I finish this release, it will go back in my stash until either July or November. I am going to move on to finishing some long time spring stuff.
Upcoming
The next few weeks I will be out of town, so I won’t post this coming Friday because I will be visiting my daughter for a mother / daughter weekend but I will get one off before flying off to Hawaii for a week with my daughter and my grandson. I am so looking forward to a little fun in the sun.
So I started planning what I will be stitching in April already. I have pulled out some older stitches to work on as well as planning a few new ones. Today I spent some time checking for fabric and floss. I had everything on hand except for one project. That’s now on order. Now I need to prep the actual fabric during this next two weeks.
I will continue working on the series that I already have in play especially the Truckin Along Series. I want to get that done!
Stitching with the Housewives have a new series coming out, but I am going to wait to see what it looks like before signing up for the club. I figure if I miss the club, it’s okay. There are a number of their smaller stitches that have really wanted to do.
