Welcome my Stitchy Friends! It has been a busy full week and I can’t wait to share with you.
Starts & Finishes
Just one this week.
30 Acorns Prestitching: Squirrel Pocket by Hands on Design

Finished this chart for my upcoming class with Cathy from Hands on Design in celebration of Acorns & Threads 30th Anniversary. Now time to move on to the perforated paper charts for the needlebook.
WIP Updates
Just a few projects this week to share.
Fruit of Plenty by Modern Folk Embroidery

Jumped back in to work on this one to complete my 400 stitches for July. Less than 2000 stitches left. The entire project was 43k of stitches.
Summer Stitching Season by Stitching with the Housewives

I worked on this one a couple of nights to finish my 400 stitches for July. I have one more house and the bottom border to finish before I start the top border.
Snowman Collector: The Scarecrow by Cottage Garden Samplings

I have more stitches to go this month before reaching 400 on the Scarecrow. I am still plugging away at the wheat in the field. I am so ready to move on to more exciting things. At least I was able to stitch the post!
Happy Mail
I did receive some happy mail this week.
Colour and Cotton

I have another patriotic project from Primrose Cottage I want to stitch and I wanted to use the same color palette as the last two projects. I could not buy this individually on Primrose Cottage’s website (only as a whole kit). I had heard that Colour and Cotton opened up a retail store. I looked them up and was able to get my floss I wanted. It arrived pretty quick too!
Shabby Fabrics: Pink Flamingo’s Needle Minder of the Month Club

I forgot that I had signed up for this through Shabby Fabrics. Definitely Happy Mail! I was even more happy when I realized that it included floss and a pattern to go with the cute needleminder. You can cross stitch or embroider it. They even include a heat transfer pattern. Way more than expected.
Plans & Reflections
I have company this week so not sure how much sewing & crafting will really happen. My sister is here to visit and we are doing sister stuff. But here is what I am thinking at the moment:
- Start 30 Acorns Needlebook motif
- Finish my 400 stitches on The Scarecrow
- The Castle
- Oakly Acorns
- October Square Dance
- Start Sweetly Sayin’ 4th of July
- Crescent City Velaris
Everyone have a great weekend!
