Welcome to this week’s edition of To Do Tuesday where I will be linking up with Carol over at Quilt Schmilt for the To Do Tuesday linky party! Check it out!

What Got Done This Week

I have been spending most of my time working on my online course Immersion 2024 which has not left me with a lot of time to do other things. But I thought I would get started on my March UFO project which is potholders. I pulled my 2 1/2 inch scrap basket as well as my green bin to pull together the accessories to my tablerunner.

I hate green so I don’t really have a great selection to pull from. These accessories are definitely very scrappy. I can’t figure out if I don’t like them because they are green or just because they are bad. LOL!
Anyway, I got the tops done on the shamrock potholders and the spring coasters. I still need to assemble the spring placemats. After that I will start layering and quilting everything.
This week I looked through the project boxes and found the Zuma Charm blocks. I also found the HST from they Zuma Gypsy quilt which the pattern designer gave us a pattern for a serendipty (or bonus) quilt. I pulled it out as well.

Action List for Week of March 12th
Still messing around with the title for this section as I wasn’t liking To Do List as it seemed to lead to expectations of checking off everything on it. That is definitely not my intention, but I do like to keep a running list with my active wips and their next steps. This is this week’s list.

- December Gnome Is Where The Heart Is – applique with red
- Finish Queen of Diamonds block 2-2 (EPP)

Afterthoughts

Have I mentioned I am not really a fan of green. It is probably why I don’t have any cohesive fabrics for green. It really is just a hodge podge of unrelated fabrics. As I mentioned earlier, I really hate these and I can’t tell if it is because the fabrics really do clash or if it is my non enthusiastic venture with my limited green palettes. I am definitely unwilling to buy more green fabric. LOL! #sigh. I don’t like my table runner, but yet I get lots of compliments on it. Moving on…
Headed out of town on Thursday for hopefully our last hockey tournament for the season – States. Not expecting to get much sewing done. But who knows, I might be able to squeeze in something today and tomorrow.
Meanwhile, I did receive my happy mail from Shabby Fabric with the next in the Gnome applique series. I’ve caught Nala carrying around the kit. I think I have it truly hidden away so she can’t find it. That girl is clever and sniff out fabric a mile away. When I was working on the green fabric pull she got into both the green bin and the 2 1/2 inch bin to dig through looking for the perfect fabric. LOL! I took a video and posted it on my Instagram so I didn’t actually get a photo of her in action. I have put away almost all the greens. I kept out what could be backings and I still need to make napkins.

Good luck on your projects this week! Until next time…

I am LOL at Nala carrying around the kit! Well, I’ll just add my compliments to your table runner – it is pretty – but I kind of get the green dislike. I don’t think my greens are pretty, but somehow combining them all seems to work. Is the Immersion course the one by Bonnie Christine? Is there a lot of homework?
I follow you on IG but I miss a lot of your posts, because I have so many kitty accounts I follow – lol! So I just added you to my Favorites list.
