Welcome to this week’s edition of To Do Tuesday. This is the last Tuesday in November. With only 28 days until Christmas, how many projects are you hoping to finish?
I will be linking up with Carol over at Quilt Schmilt.
Be sure and drop by her website and check out whatever one is working on.
What Got Done This Week
While I would love to tell you I worked on lots of projects, that is not the case this week. I actually focused on finishing my remaining APQ Resolution quilt tops while using my leaders and enders project.
- I finished assembling the top for Rainbow Half Square triangle. While I love what I have done, I see ways I could have made it have more pizzazz. Next time. This is now ready to be quilted
- I continued working on assembling the blocks into rows on Dorothy’s quilt. I finished adding rows 5 & 6 to the main top as well as finish assembling row 7. Only one row left to assemble!
- I continue to use the March Block of the Day (that is cut and ready) as an leaders and enders project for between. Almost finished making all my twosies. ( I have no idea how to spell that work and nothing came up on spell check LOL!)
- I realized I still have to this month’s Color Challenge so I pulled out my greens and got it all cut out. Loving the colors.

Afterthoughts
This quote is sooo me. Being ADHD means I have tons of WIPS and long to do lists. I have a hard time only working on one project even for one day. Then you throw in squirrels – for me these are ideas I have for new projects or maybe switching up a border or quilt block. Basically, I get carried away with something that I am NOT supposed to be working. So I started making my to do list longer so I can quit being guilty when I work on something not on the list. LOL!
Wow! It is hard to believe that 2023 is almost over. While I am pushing to finish up my APQ resolution tops so they are ready to quilt, I need to start looking at what will be next year’s quilt list as well as my goals for 2024. I love to plan! Gives me so much joy.
I know I would love to make a temperature quilt that I saw that Fat Quarter Shop is going to do with a cottage block. It looks more interesting than the one that I still have to finish for my daughter for when she was in college in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I lost interest in it because it is just HST. I probably need to think about making that one a leaders & enders project for 2024 so I can wrap that up.
I haven’t worked much on my applique or english paper piecing projects during 2023. I would like to change that for 2024 as well as get all my current finished tops quilted. So much to think about and plan. I think I might designate one day of the week as Applique day or EPP day. Or maybe I should do the 15 minutes a day for each. Hmmm. That would probably work the best. Maybe the 15 minutes a day switching back and forth between the two.
I use to do all my EPP while at hockey. Now that he is a teenager he goes at night for 2 hours so I go home instead of sitting in the car for practice. Plus it is always dark. I need to develop a new plan for my EPP. I have some really cool projects that I need to finish.
This week I think I will focus in on finishing my projects that are close to being done such as my Triple Play Pillows, Welcome Friends Banner, and Shamrock Ridge wallhanging. Probably would take just a few hours on each one of those to be all done. Years ago, December was always a finish up project month. I think that is what I will do for 2023. See how many things I can actually finish.
Ready. Set. Go!

Love your greens for the monthly challenge – especially that top print. I’ll be interested to see what the FQS comes up with for the 31st of the month on that cottage block. Have a great week Peggy!
I am actually really excited about the cottage temperature quilt. So many temperature quilts are … boring. I am looking forward to see what they design. While Fat Quarter Shop is the reason I got back into cross stitching, I find that many of their designs are not me. I am also intrigued by their Petite Four QAL. While they already started it, I may add it to my 2024 list because I want to improve my foundation paper piecing skills. It has been a few years since I have done it. My friends are all doing Color My World. I looked at that foundation paper piecing project and decided it was too much for me.
Thanks Linda. Finished the block. It looks great
Oh gosh I love to plan too. It’s almost as fun as finishing! I’m doing my best right now not to OVERplan for the last few weeks of the year. But oh I can’t wait until making out next year’s bucket list. That’s a fave for me!
Totally Cheree. Planning makes my little heart go pitter patter. It brings me joy! Next year’s bucket list is one of my favorite planning moments as well. I wish you much joy over the next few weeks.
