Hard to believe that American Thanksgiving is just two days away! I am looking forward to spending it with my sister and her family.
I will be linking up with Carol at Quilt Schmilt again this week with this week’s To Do Tuesday LinkUP.
What Got Done This Week
It was a busy week of hockey. I was happy I got some time in the studio to work on my projects.
While I didn’t get as much done as I desired, I feel pretty good about the progress that I made.
- Attached rows 5 & 6 to the other 4 rows on Dorothy’s Double Slice Quilt as well as trim up row 7 blocks.
- Finished piecing the inner border and attaching to my Rainbow Half Square Triangle quilt. I even cut and attached top and bottom borders for the second border.
- I finished up the last four blocks of my leaders and enders project as well as pull out and started on the next four blocks using Tula Pink’s Daydreamer collection.
- Finished assembling the background of a Year in Words – Christmas
- Pulled out pieces had cut for the pieced border on the Sunshine Quilt. Decided to add some more colors so cut a bunch of 6 1/2 inch strips to be used with the piecing technique I learned at PIQF.

Afterthoughts
I am not sure if I have anything to really share this week. I have been thinking a lot about when I want to spend some quality time quilting my finished tops. My conclusion is that I am going to get on that after Christmas (LOL!).
While in Vacaville this weekend, I came across the outlet stores (which happended to be a couple of blocks away from our hotel.). I was so excited when I saw they had a Columbia and Merrell outlet store. While Shaun was showering Sunday after his last game, I ran over to the outlet stores. I was thrilled to find two amazing winter jackets (and a couple of fun pullovers) plus THREE pair of shoes. Everything was at least 50% off so I stocked up for the next five years. LOL!
I am not set for the snow at Whistler in December. I am so excited to wear my new finds that I might squeeze in wearing one of them to the rink at hockey weekend before my trip (just because I can).
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!!!

Does your sister live close, or will you be traveling? Your new clothes sound wonderful! Happy Thanksgiving Peggy!
Hi Linda
My sister is just 90 minutes away. So not far.
