Happy Tuesday everyone! Hope you had a great week. It’s hard to believe we are in the last week of September. We have had a great Fall so far. Sunny most days and in the 70’s. This is one of my favorite times of the year when it comes to weather. Sunny and warm, but not too hot or cold. Love it. Here in California we don’t have the same changing of the leaves that most places in the US have. Normally the hills would be brown. This year they are still green! Just love it.
I will be linking up with Carol over at Quilt Schmilt. Thank you Carol for hosting the linkup for To Do Tuesday!
What Got Done This Week
I feel like I got a lot done this week. Hmmm. Not bad. Here is what I did do this week:
- Finished Block 60 of #100days100blocks2023 as well as figure out the fabrics I need to pull for blocks 61-80.
- Cut both 8/26 & 8/27 for the 365 block challenge as well as finish sewing 8/26. The 27th is under my needle.
- I have continued working on the small 4 patch units of my Daydreamer Blocks as a leaders and enders project.
- Finished cutting & sewing both August & September Monthly Color Challenge Blocks. Yea! For being current.
- Sewed my half square triangle blocks for patriotic table runner (no photo).
- Cut & Sewed Block 11 of the Sweet Childhood Memories SAL.
- Started working on organizing my aurifil threads (no photo). I have reds, oranges, yellows, and greens done. I have a lot of duplicates from being in a thread club for a couple of years which is annoying.
- Started working on assembling Dorothy’s quilt.
APQ Resolution 2023 Status
This week I pulled out my September project to start working on. When I started sewing the rows I realized that I never trimmed up the blocks. So started trimming them to 9.5 inches and realized that I needed to trim to 9.25 inches. It is amazing how much better my sewing has gotten over the years. I do believe this quilt was started in 2015. Pictured above is row 1 under my needle.
- January – Mama Gypsy – ready to quilt
- February – Rainbow Half Square Triangle – needs borders
- March – Tula Pink Tiny Beast – needs borders
- April – Rainbow Log Cabin – needs top & bottom border only
- May – Halloween quilt – ready to quilt
- June – Princess twin quilt – ready to quilt
- July – Charming Sunflowers Squared – ready to quilt
- August – Hawaiian quilt – ready to quilt
- September – Dorothy’s MSQC Double Sliced King quilt – assembling blocks

Afterthoughts
I have so many WIPs that recently in my quilt journal, I started pulling off the WIP list quilts that are ready to be quilted. It has actually helped a lot moving something off the WIP list to the To Be Quilted list. I was suprised to discover that I have 7 quilts, 2 table runners, and 2 wall hangings on the To Be Quilted list. When I was in college, I used to spend December finishing all of my craft projects. No new things, just finishing up projects. Of course, being a poor college student, these were all Christmas gifts.
Meanwhile, this week I have begun thinking of additional cute placemats and table runners that I would like to make for my kitchen. I am dreaming of making a pumpkin set as well as an apple set….. LOL! I have more ideas then I can excute. If I live to be 400 years old, I don’t think I will ever run out of things to work on.
Good luck everyone on your projects this week. Thank you for stopping by and all the moral support and encouragement.

I agree with you, 400 years is probably not enough time to finish everything I want to do! That Hey Pumpkin pillow with Simba is priceless. Have a great rest of the week Peggy!
