Hello Everyone! It is the last day of February and March is around the corner. It is raining here. We need the rain here in California to fight the drought. It was cool to see our local hills covered in snow. Snow came down to 500 feet above sea level. We have had a rainy cold February. I am ready for it to move on.
If you missed my last post, Phoenix weather was pretty similar to San Jose weather so no break there. Shaun’s hockey team did well against some really good teams. Not this weekend, but the following weekend we head down to So Cal for California States for the U16AA.
This week I will be hooking up with Carol over at Quilt Schmilt in Canada.
What Got Done These Past Two Weeks?
I had a Zoom Quilt day last Friday so I feel that I managed to get a lot done once I got back from Arizona.
- Finished February Monthly Color Challenge block with Patterns by Jen
- Got Blocks 4 & 5 of Sweet Childhood Memories (Pat Sloan) sewn
- Block 6 of Sweet Childhood Memories is a 16 inch block that has been cut and is in the middle of being sewn.
- Assembled all the Strip Sets required in Week 4 of the Tula Pink Butterfly Quilt SAL with Pat Sloan. It was nice to do something easy.
- I finished sewing Scrappiness is Happiness QAL with Lori Holt block for week 12
- Assembled and attached Rows 9 & 10 for the White Hawaiian Charm Quilt.
- Assembled all the blocks for Row 11 for the White Hawaiian Charm and am in mid process sewing the row together.

- I am in mid process assembling Row 7 of Tula Pink Tiny Beast.
To Do List #39 (February 28th – March 6th)
Well I have put together a list of my active projects and their next steps. Not sure what I am going to do other than I know I need to clear the Long Arm table so I can quilt Mama Gypsy.
- Quilt Mama Gypsy (#apqresolution January quilt)
- Assemble Love Note Pot Holders (LNPH)
- Finish block 6 of Sweet Childhood Memories (SCM)
- Finish assembling rows for White Hawaiian Charm Quilt center
- Finish assembling rows for Tula Pink Tiny Beast center
- Cut inner & outer borders for the Pat Sloan Rainbow Half Square Triangle (RHST) quilt (#apqresolution February quilt)
- Quilt LNPH
- Start Ruby’s Garden (EPP) block 23
- Cut July 3 & 4 blocks of #365quiltblockchallenge
- Cut SCM blocks 7 & 8
- Assemble Churn Dash rows 3 & 4
- Make PIQF 2022 Mystery quilt blocks 10-12
- Make Heart Mug Rug tops
- Purple thread applique on Year in Words – Flowers
- Purple thread applique on Year in Words – Spring
Well that surely will keep me busy this week! Plenty to choose from. A little cutting, a little sewing/piecing, a little quilting, a little applique, and pretty tops to finish.
Wrap Up
I keep putting it out there every week because it motivates me. I can’t believe how much gets done by just putting it out there. This also helps me to organize my active projects.
I have recently been reviewing my 93 WIPS to see what I might want to get rid of and what I can just finish up and be done. Hopefully next week, I can add a couple things to the list that will be more finishes for the year. I am thinking I need to start a 2023 Finishes page for both Cross Stitch & Quilty stuff. Keep an eye out for that. Although, unless it is a final finish, it will not go on the page.
I did have two finishes in February and two starts so February is a wash! I am ending the month with 93 still, hence the review. It is kind of funny. I have been keeping track of my WIP count via the perpetual method. When I went to my list in Excel, it is actually less. So part of the review is just figuring out what changed. I know one project difference is a total throw it out. I do not have that in my monthly calc. March I will need to add that to the Calculation.
Good Luck Everyone! See you next week!

Peggy I am amazed at your list of pretty projects and the progress you made. Good to hear you did get some rain although seeing the snow must have been a surprise! I’m hoping you had lots of fun and moved some of your projects along this week. Thank you for linking with To Do Tuesday.
I really enjoy seeing your projects and your progress. You are smart to “put it out there”! Glad that CA got some much needed moisture. Say Hi to Simba and Nala!
