To Do Tuesday #2

I am happy to report that this past week was actually pretty productive despite the fact that we had a hockey weekend. Lucky for me it was a local tournament weekend. The only day that had no time to work on anything was Saturday. Check out the status from Feb 8th to Feb 14th list!

  • Make a label for Jack Be Quick quilt – done
  • Load Over & Under quilt on long arm – done
  • Add both borders on the black and gold quilt – 1 out of 2 borders on
  • Cut fabric for Valentine napkins – done
  • Cut fabric for Valentine tablerunner – done
  • Square up remaining Block B Sunshine quilt blocks – done
  • Quilt Hearts Blooming wall hanging – done

Week of Feb 15th – 21st

To Do #1 – Sew Label on Jack Be Quick

Now that the label is done; I just need to attach it! I love how this label turned out.

To Do #2 – Bind Jack Be Quick

I considered breaking this up since this is a full size queen bed quilt. Part A – attaching binding to the quilt. Part B – Finish attaching binding. Whether it gets done will depend on whether I decide to hand or machine stitch the finish.

To Do #3 – Quilt Over & Under lap quilt

Can a 73 1/4 inch square quilt be called a “lap” quilt? I have picked out the quilt pattern already. Thread is loaded. Bobbin is in. Just need to change the needle and get started!

To Do #4 – Add Black border to Black & Gold quilt

I have this on my list to do today. I want to finish adding the border to complete last week’s list. It’s a nice size 5 inch border. Then I will be able to measure to figure out how much I need for the backing.

To Do #5 – Find backing for the Black & Gold quilt.

I was showing my sister what I got as a backing for the black and gold quilt and I have decided, I just don’t really like it. I plan to quilt this with a beautiful gold thread so I think it would be nice to have a gold metallic back. How fun is it to go shopping for fabric!?

To Do #6 – Sew napkins

Napkins are cut and waiting to be sewn up. All that pink and red look so yummy. Should be easy peasy.

To Do #7 – Add hanging sleeve & label to Hearts Blooming

I need to cut and make both, but it should be a quick fix.

To Do #8 – Bind/Finish Hearts Blooming

At last it will be nice to finish this wall hanging that has been in my sewing room since last February. If I finish this week, I will still have time to display it this month.

To Do #9 – Sew Heart block strip sets together

If I didn’t have all day this Friday set as a sew day with my quilty friends, I would probably have limited this list. I don’t want to be short of things to do on Friday!

To Do #10 – Sew one row of the Sunshine Quilt

I really wanted to not add this but I can’t resist to get at least one row done! There is always Friday to work on it right?

To Do Tuesday Link Up

While it seems like a lot, I have one whole sewing day with my quilty friends which will be offset by one Sister day where little to no sewing will happen. Some of the things just go together… If I finish half the list I will be super happy.

Thanks again for letting me join all of you for To Do Tuesday.

  1. Wow~ your list is impressive. I love Jack Be Quick! Is that a Grunge background? The border is gorgeous. The Black and Gold quilt is going to be stunning, and what fun to pick out a metallic backing.
I’m late in commenting, but thanks for linking up with To Do Tuesday! 🙂

    1. Jack’s background is grunge before grunge became a thing. It is from Basic Grey and the line I used had several grunge pieces in it. I love all of them but the blue was my favorite. Hope to show more on the Black & Gold quilt. Need a catchier name for that one.
