Wow this week flew by! I can’t believe it is already Tuesday again. My calendar has been packed with “doing things”. Still attending a number of live Zoom seminars on various subjects which are interesting as well as meeting with vendors for my home as I gear up to do some sewing studio basic upgrades such as wiring and lights. Plus some shades for each of the sewing rooms. PNW is an interesting beast with the darker winters and the very light summers. When the sun shines, it is unbelievably blue skies. When it rains, we have some many shades of gray that nature provides that it could teach fabric & quilt designers a thing or two about color.
I will be linking up with Carol’s Schmilt To Do Tuesday again this week. Just click on Blog Post at the top of the page to find the link to To Do Tuesday for this week.

Recap of WIPGO Long Arm & Quilting Goals completed in February
I had a pretty good month in February working on my goals. Didn’t finish a 100% but still good forward movement.
✅ means completed. Anything else is not complete. 😳👀🙈🐿️
January WIPGO Goals Completed

- Quilting: Bind a project ✅
- Long Arm: Edge to Edge Design 😳
- Long Arm: Use fill on a quilt 🙈
February WIPGO Goals

- Quilting: Make a pieced border 👀
- Quilting: Make a label ✅
- Long Arm: Watch a training video ✅
- Long Arm: Mask on an applique project 😳
March WIPGO Goals

This month’s random pick are:
- Quilting: Work on a Wallhanging : Thinking I will work on Turkey Lurkey
- Quilting: Finish a Block: Finally! An easy one. I have two almost done now.
- Long Arm: Quilt 100 days quilt top: Plenty to choose from. Maybe I can use this to finish off some of my other long arm goals
- Long Arm: Quilt a panel: They say this is a great way to acquaint yourself with techniques without ruining something you have a lot of blood, sweat, and tears
Of course, I hope to knock off a few more from the January and February list….
Project Updates
Slow week in the sewing studio, still I squeezed out some time.
Churn Dash Blocks

My churn dash block rows are assembled. I really thought it would be easy to get upstairs this week…… Almost done. This is still my leaders and enders project (What I sew between other chain piecing).
This project uses mostly Abby Rose fat quarter bundle and filled out with fabrics from my stash.
Lori Holt’s Bring Home the Tree Car Lt Aqua block

As you can see, this is where the majority of my time was spent this week as I worked on assembling this giant block. I have to finish assembling the body of the car (front wheel to rest), then I can attach it to the roof which already is holding a tree.
I really thought I was going to finish but I sewed a stitch and flip square wrong and it took me 30 minutes to find (which I looked at 3 times) my fabric stash for this quilt to get two 1.5 inch squares. Glad I found the stash and and a larger piece to match up the trim stripping. You will see this one complete for sure next week (and one WIPGO goal down!).
This project is mostly Alison Glass fabric from her Christmas collection and sunprints. For the trees, I raided my scrap bin for greens and browns.
Farmers Wife 1920 Block 50: Honeys’ Choice

I realized that it had been two weeks since working on this. Still trying to find my new groove to include hand stitching more regularly. Decide 15 minutes was better than zero minutes. I love the colors of this block.

I am still following my original color sheets with ths color wash english paper piecing quilt. I am not even sure where these got off to. I did them back in 2017 when I started this project – my first EPP quilt. Why did I pick such a big project? A question I ask myself often. Definitely have learned a lot about utting together quilt blocks. I don’t know if you can tell but I am working on the block on the edge second from the bottom.

This project is 100% Alison Glass fabric.
Weekly To Do List

What I finished from last week’s list:
- Work on FW1920 blk 50
- Watched Edge to Edge Gammill lesson
- Checked with Janet about the upcoming quilt festival in Portland
- Checked in with Mary Elizabeth regarding upcoming quilt retreat
Thinking that next week will be:
- Finish car & truck block for Bringing Home the Tree quilt
- Work on finishing Turkey Lurkey wallhanging
- Finish my third and final churn dash block for February
- Begin working on the Stars Aligned pieced border
- Load quilt onto longarm
- Continue loading fabric on mini bolts
- Keep an eye out for that missing insert for my sewing table
- Quilt Zoom Day this week!!!!!
- Pull fabrics for the March Monthly Color Challenge – Aqua
- Decide on quilt kit taking to quilt retreat & start the cutting if feasible
Musings

I have probably overshared too much this week. Hopefully you have enjoyed the my meandering mind as I have squirrel 🐿️ moments. 😂
The last couple of days I have been trying to focus on what I want to accomplish in March. The electricians have certified the long arm room as safe. Interesting enough, my domestic sewing room has issues which are being caused mainly by the iron of all things. Looks like I need to move my big ironing area to the long arm room while we work out how to rectify the problem which will probably take some time. The joys of home owners!
Storygraph for February
Last week I shared the January stats so I thought I would share Februarys too.

I think I need to read another 8 books this month to stay on track for 100 books read in 2026. Currently reading one ebook, one paper book, and listening to one audio book. LOL! Unfortunately not enough time in the day to do everything I want.
Thanks again my quilty friends for stopping by today.
