Hello Everyone! Still a slow week in the sewing studio but I did make it up there. Still unpacking and organizing my stuff, but I had an opportunity to do a little sewing this week so I wanted to share with you.
While I haven’t done much, I thought I would go ahead and linkup with Carol over at Quilt Schmilt for To Do Tuesday. Go on over and check it out!

What I Did Last Week
I was looking at last week’s WishList and I did do several things on the list:
- Checked on my Tula Pink Bernina 770QE which is at California Sewing Center in San Jose, CA. They had not heard any news other than Bernina had it. That’s a little scary thinking they can’t figure it out.
- I ordered my samples from FeltRight. Can’t wait for those to get here. This is the company where I plan to order my design wall tiles from. I could have ordered just neutral colors (a pack of 6). You know me and rainbows and I am looking forward to putting the rainbow on my wall in my new office.
- I got the Bernina 880 setup in the studio. Because of all the boxes, the room is not in its final layout yet. I haven’t even decided what that will be. Lots of ideas floating around.
- Started assembling Dragonfruit Month 5 section
- Finished the units of one (of the four) Dragonfruit Month 6 blocks. I went with easy as I settle back into a routine.
- I unpacked a few more boxes and sorted a some more. While I was at it, I also moved boxes and such around in the sewing studio. I need some help with the heavy stuff, but there is plenty until help arrives.

The only thing I didn’t work on this week is the rail fence quilt. I have the project box out, just didn’t do anything. Only worked upstairs twice this week but that is twice as much as last week!
To Do List for This Week
Still not ready for a full out long list. I have found most of the projects but the space isn’t really setup to work on multiple projects yet. I did find all the rolling carts and get the ironing station semi setup. Don’t really have a cutting station yet. Here is the wishlist for this coming week:
- Finish sewing Dragonfruit Month 5 blocks into four 12 inch blocks
- Sew together the units I made last week for Dragonfruit Month 6 into blocks
- Start on the Economy block from Month 6
- Sew together a strip set for the Rail Fence quilt
- Work on EPP project: Farmers Wife 1920 Block 50
- Continue unpacking WIPs and books
- Check again on my Bernina 770QE to see if it made it back to California
- Get on Gammill’s schedule to setup longarm back up
- Setup May Goals

Musings
While I am not up and sprinting, I am running. Each day is a step forward. As part of that momentum, I am going to put together a conservative May’s goal list with the WIPs I have located so far. Everything else will be on hold. Just being able to think about making a goal list for May feels sooo good.
Still working on getting back to a regular routine in the new house. I am definitely waking up earlier with the sun (and cat) in my face every morning.

My babies have settled in. Here is a photo of Nala looking out the front door window waiting for me to come back from my walk. Then there is Simba (who is snoring #loudly) while I am watching the Warriors game and stitching. I do not have a photo of Callie this week as we have reverted back to staying in my bedroom all day and all night now that Nala isn’t hiding under the covers for hours and hours. That part makes me sad. I tell her not to run, but she does and then Nala is all in for the chase throughout the house. With all hardwood floors, they don’t get any traction so it looks like a racetrack with them sliding around corners.
While I know the Pacific Northwest (PNW) has a lot of rain, my first three weeks have been beyond gorgeous with cloudless blue skies and perfect 70 degree weather. I am loving every minute. It has been windy in the afternoons which is not a problem for me.
Thanks for stopping by. Come back on Friday if you want to look at my cross stitch projects otherwise, I will see you next Tuesday.
