Goodbye 2024! Welcome 2025! A new year with overly ambitious plans as usual. We are off to a slow start but I did put together plans for January. I have not really thought about what I would like to accomplish in 2025 other than quilt & bind 12 quilts. I want to turn those quilt tops into finished quilts.
I will be linking up with Carol at Quilt Schmilt for To Do Tuesday link up. Thank you Carol for hosting.

Under the Needle Last Week
I spent 30 minutes here and 30 minutes there working in the sewing room this week. I have almost sewn up everything I have precut.

I was able to:
- Finish assembling all 4 dragonfruit corner units. Two this week and two last week. This the Block of the Month with Fat Quarter Shop – Dragonfruit.
- Finished a third tree unit for my tree/car block of the Bring Home the Tree quilt by Lori Holt from her Vintage Christmas book.
- Finished assembling another leaders and enders block – this orange churn dash and started another one.
- (not pictured). Worked on labelling and organizing pieces to fuse for Blooming Snowflakes

Afterthoughts

I decided that this year I am not going to put out a 2025 UFO list to work on. It hasn’t worked for me for the past 5 years. For now, I will let it go. Instead, I will focus on monthly goals for myself and see how it goes. As I mentioned in the opening, I would like to finish completely 12 quilts this year. I have enough tops ready to be quilted to make this happen. I would also like to final finish a few small projects that have been hanging out in my sewing room – tablerunners, placemats, project bags, and wall hangings. I made a nice dent last year and want to continue that trend.
The UFO goal will be to finish one project each month.
Here we come 2025!
Wishing you a happy creative and productive week. Thanks for stopping by.

30 mins here and there can sure make a difference! Good job at getting things done! Good luck in Jan, tho I’m not sure you’ll need it! 😉
I’m glad you and your kitties are far away from the wildfires! Your Dragonfruit project is beautiful, and I love your churn dash blocks (one of my favorite blocks). Good luck with your goals!
