Hello Everyone! Hope all of you who are on the West Coast are surviving this Heat Wave. It has been following me around everywhere I go. I am currently in Vancouver, Washington and it is suppose to top out at 100F today. It will start cooling off here. Unfortunately, I will be heading home tomorrow to San Jose, where the heatwave is in its second wave. Beating the heat has been a challenge.
I will be linking up with Carol at Quilt Schmilt for To Do Tuesday. Come check it out.
Under the Needle The Past Two Weeks
I was on the road last Tuesday so I did not post anything which is fine. I have not done any quilting since I went on the road anyway. Let me share what I did before I left.
Since I don’t have a lot to share this week, I thought I would share photos that I forgot to take last time of my Blooming Pointsettas. Next step for the Pointsettas Wallhanging is to quilt & bind.
- I finished gluing the binding to two more design boards. It felt good to be done.
- Over several days, I worked on (after finding them) pulling fabrics and glue basting the next two Farmers Wife blocks #47 & #48. One is yellow and orange and the other is all shades of yellow.
- Finished cutting all the black background pieces for my FPP quilt blocks. (Not pictured)
- Started cutting the colored fabric for my FPP quilt blocks. I finished strawberry, melon, gold, and emerald from Alison Glass 2024 Sunprint collection (not pictured)
- I also took some time to look at the instructions for the Alison Glass SAL – Stamp Quilt. I believe my fabric came after I left (or at least I hope so). The SAL began July 1st. (Not pictured)
- My most important accomplishment was having my long arm serviced before leaving on the trip!!!!
- I also started going through my stack of 2 1/2 inch squares and pulling them for my last block I need to make for Scrappiness is Happiness – Block Sixty-Four (not pictured)

Afterthoughts
I am feeling anxious to get home and start working on my projects. I feel like I have been gone forever. I know my daughter has appreciated my help. Unfortunately carrying things up and down the stairs is not something I do well.
Everyone stay cool and hopefully I will have more things to share next week.

Sorry about the heat, I am longing for winter myself. I’m sure your kitties will be so glad to see you when you get home!
