It’s been what I would consider a fairly productive week. While I did not quilt every day, I did little things on almost everything on my list as well as finish binding my Over & Under Quilt from 2017. I am a happy quilter!

Week 10 List (April 26th – May 2nd)
To Do #1 – Sew binding & label on Black & Gold quilt
I never came up with a better name for this jelly roll race quilt, so the label is Black & Gold. I have always loved this quilt and I am especially pleased with how it has turned out. I can’t wait to check this one as done!
To Do #2 – April Monthly Color Challenge Block
I pulled the fabric with the intention of cutting and sewing on Saturday Sew Day. By Saturday, I need to cut and piece this block. I will need to get posted on Instagram as well (@quiltadventures). I don’t think we have ever done a gray block before in the three years I have been participating.
To Do #3 – Sew Borders 1 & 2 onto Sunshine Quilt
I decided and cut fabrics this week for the borders. I am not super happy with fabric pick for border 2. I may end up changing it. I ordered backing fabric early last week and it came yesterday. It is perfect! It is an orange plaid. I will end up quilting this one with gold thread. I have even found a fruit edge to edge to quilt. Just have to decide if I am going to switch out border 2 or move forward.
To Do #4 – Sew Borders 1 & 2 on Charming Sunflowers quilt
I ended up renaming this quilt this week. It is my APQ Resolution quilt for April. I pulled out all the pieces, assembled top, and left over fabrics with the intention of working on Saturday Sew Day. My brain wasn’t there on Saturday but I did end up working on calculations and planning on Sunday and actually cut and assembled borders on Monday.
I am now very excited about this 2018 quilt projects. I forgot how much I loved this fabric line. I have a second quilt made with this same fabric that needs to be finished and is in the bucket for this year as well as a panel. I just need to decide if I want to make the panel as part of one of the backs or as a separate project. I have a few weeks to decide. Very excited about this old project.
To Do #5 – Cut a 365 block
Saturday found me pulling all my stuff from this 2018 project for show and tell during our Zoom Call. The ladies I quilt with have decided to do this project this year. I found my center that I have completed so far.
We discussed my approach on this quilt and how this is really a learning quilt. I started this quilt and really amped up my skills and I am almost halfway with this one. They are inspiring me to get everything out and organized. Part of that is to cut at least one block to sew.
To Do #6 – Finish One Ruby Garden Block (EPP)
EPP is not a quick art and I don’t usually work on it at home. This is something that I have worked on the go since I started in 2018 (oh gees! How much stuff did I start that year?!) I was able to finish the block but it still needs its sashing.
To Do #7 – Quilt March / Green Table Runner
I am seriously getting tired of this being on my list. I was going to quilt on my domestic machine instead of loading on my long arm. I just want it off the list! This is the first of four table runners that need to be quilted. I still hanging out there my February Heart table runner that I finished assembling recently, my Teal batik table runner, and my Good Morning Mug table runner. Gees! Let’s start ticking these off the list!
To Do #8 – Cut one Lost & Found block (EPP)
Really what is the problem?! I have the templates and fabric sitting on the cutting table. Oh wait! I lost the instructions. Okay, I just need to find them….
To do # 9 – Glue Baste one Lost & Found block (EPP)
Once I get the darn thing cut, glue basting this block is fairly quick until you get to the 12 – 1 inch equilateral triangles.
To Do #10 – Start Piecing my basted Lost & Found block (EPP)
I figure if I get rolling, why not start on the block!
To Do #11 – Sew Clue #4 of Olympia Mystery SAL with Cotton Cuts
I was going to stop at 10 but realized that I started this on Sew Saturday and I need to finish it. It is a ton of flying geese units sewn together. If I don’t put it on the list, I will just procrastinate. Trust me. I know myself well. If it’s not on the list, then I will skip it. I guess that is better than working on everything under the sun that is NOT on the list. LOL!
Recap
Hmmm. I need a cat picture to use to wrap this all up. I always have to go through my photos after I write up the blog but I think I will through in a Hawaii picture instead this time. This week it is on my list to write up Hawaii and maybe Seattle. Hawaii for sure.
Remember I will be linking up with Texas Quilt Gal – Linda for To Do Tuesday. I really appreciate the support I get from everyone. So many nice and positive comments come my way. Such a beautiful thing!
Here is this week’s list in a nutshell:
- Finish Black & Gold quilt
- Finish April Mo Color Challenge block

I am getting really anxious to start something new. I brought back all that lovely fabric from Hawaii. I just want to check off at least one more quilt (will be third finish of the year) before starting a new one. Plus I have three more quilts almost done and four table runners. Just need to push past to the end! I’m telling you, this has been a super productive time even with two weeks off for vacation.
Have a great Tuesday!
Peggy
My goodness Peggy I love reading through all your projects and am amazed you can do so much and LOL on wanting to start something new! The label on Black & Gold quilt is great, and I love your Olympia Mystery fabrics. I still love that green fabric for the back of the runner you want to finish.
Thank you for linking up with To Do Tuesday and for sharing your IG name – I just followed you!
Hi Linda! Thanks for taking the time to read everything. Glad you found me on instagram. I post there a lot. Those purples in the Olympia mystery quilt are so fun! Kaffee fabric is a blast. Wait until you see pictures for next week as I am cutting my lost and found blocks today. There is only four left. The quilt is a Kaffee quilt. Honestly, I picked the table runner backing because I just love busy backs. Have an awesome weekend.
I love the label for the Black and Gold!! I also love that turquoise 365 block! Awesome progress!! I love your organization! Oh wait! You lost the directions. Lol! No seriously, you’re amazingly talented!!
I used my stencils to help with the label but that butterfly was freehand this time. I am not going to lie. It was scary but I used a frixion marker to sketch it out and then drew on top of it with a fabric pen to make it permanent. Whew! I have you know I found those directions right where I left them (LOL!). I am cutting out the last four blocks this morning. Almost done….
LOL! About the directions! I was just talking with Skye about that butterfly! Well done! Stencils are amazing. Keep it up! You are making such great progress!
So many lovely projects going at the same time! I really do get that, as I do the same thing. My adult children though, think I’m a bit crazy for not finishing one before moving on to the next. LOL
Hi Peggy! I cannot wait to see what you do with all of the Hawaii fabrics. However, I love that you’re going to get one more finish in the books before you start on them! I’ll bet those four table runners will be done in the blink of an eye. I’ve got one to finish, too. I am thinking I’d better get that out of the way before I start quilting the full-size sport ball quilt that’s awaiting me. Good luck with your list for the week – progress is a fabulous thing. You’re doing a great job!! {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
