Floss Fridays #2

Welcome back to our second cross stitch post under the new title Floss Fridays. I hope you enjoy the projects I am currently working on!

I wanted to finish 3 releases in March. I am currently on track after finishing release number 2. I love the seahorse! I am still using DMC 4030 and 156 on 16 ct black aida

My goal was to finish the face this past week and the hat this week. I got a nice start on the hat last week. My overall goal is to finish the gnome during March.

I finally started on the second row which is the Skate Shed or number 2 in the series. Just to get things rolling, I got the top border done.

My goal was to finish the house and earlier in the week I got off to a great start but didn’t have any quality time to put in until last night. I still managed to make progress and finish my goal for this week which was the house. Last night after finishing the house, I got a head start on next week by stitching up one of the sheep and fence section. Working on this one for four days have put me behind with the other projects for this week. Just love this cheerful spring colors though!

I am stitching on 28 ct lambswool linen with called for DMC and Weeks Dye Works.

I meant to work on this every day this week but like I said, I didn’t have a lot of quality time to stitch this week. After finishing up the cottage, I got some stitching done on the March section. It felt good to get back in there. My goal is to do at least one 40″ strand every night to help make some good progress. Last night I worked with the lighter teal. Looks pretty good.

Goals for Week

I started setting stitching goals when I started To Do Tuesday for quilting and it has been working pretty good. Here is this week’s goals:

  • January Calendar Crates – Sign (Knit Co)
  • 2022 Oracle SAL release #3
  • Let’s Talk Winter – warm wishes
  • Snow Village – top border(done) & building
  • Mr February – face (done) & hat
  • MFESAL work on March
  • March Cottage of the Month – house (done) & middle

Haul This Week

I had happy mail this week. I got four new project bags as well as some new needle minders, cases, and needles. They came on two different days. Such a happy moment to find the goodies in the mail.
