I got back last night from Gardnerville, NV. Never thought I would be the one thinking that Nevada was beautiful. The valley is just gorgeous surronded by mountains. I had blue skies coming and going. Yesterday had a lot of snow from the day before, but still a gorgeous day. Let’s jump into this week’s progress.
Starts & Finishes
I was supposed to start a few projects, but I have yet to put together my order for two new series I am going to do. So I guess I will be behind on them. They are small so it shouldn’t be too bad to get caught up. LOL! If I ever get the order in. (#sigh)
START: 2024 SJ Temperature Library by Kristi’s Corner
I got started on my 2024 temperature stitch which will be this bookcase with a shelf for every month. I wanted to make susre it was long enough. It’s a bit tight, but it will work. This should be a fun stitch. I finally got the floss picked out and ready this week as well. All the floss is my colors mixed in with some of theirs. Exciting.
WIP Updates
Because I was roadtripping this week, I only took two projects on the road. Besides the new start I was able to work on one other project this week.
Snowman Collector: The Clown by Cottage Garden Samplings
I just love workinig on snowmen. This clown is no exception. I was pleased to finish up his face and head as well as start outlining his body.
WIPGO Project: January Month 2 Month Barn by Stitching with the Housewives
I was able to get some significant work on this project while I was gone. My friend Lisa had no problem with me stitching in the evenings while we chit chated and watched some TV after our adventures during the day. I finished the word January, a couple of snowmen, as well as a good portion of the barn roof.
WIPGO Project: Christmas Calendar by Tiny Modernist
While I feel confident that I have enough room on this linen, I am still feeling the compulsion to make sure so I am working down instead of across. Last night found me working on Day 11. It was getting late but I was having a difficult time setting this teddy bear down. He is so darn cute!
Upcoming Plans & Thoughts
I missed a day of stitching and I never placed my order for the fabric and floss I need for Year of Celebration Season 2 and Monthly Markings. I spent so much time sorting through my Temperature library floss (2 days) that I never got around to ordering the supplies I need before my trip. Hopefully today.
With that being said, that means most of what I have planned for this week probably won’t happen so I will need to figure out what I will do. Here is what I have planned:
- Work on Christmas Calendar project at least two more times
- Winter Camper at least once
- Snowballs for Sale
- Snowman Collector: The Clown one more time
- Start & Finish January Monthly Markings (hmmmm)
- Start & Finish January Season 2 Year of Celebration (insert eye roll)
I am feeling a compulsion to run home and place my cross stitch order (lol). If I don’t get to do those last two, I will work on one of my other projects that I normally work on. I don’t think I have anything close to being done to focus on, but I will check. Maybe I will do the cross stitch marthon this weekend since I missed it last weekend.
Actually that sounds like a great plan. Well I hope you enjoyed my project update this week. Thank you for stopping by. I love reading your comments so don’t be shy.

Glad you enjoyed your trip. Did you get any house hunting done? I’m looking forward to seeing how your temperature library goes together. Enjoy your cross stitching marathon this weekend!
