Floss Friday #140

This is a special day. My daughter is getting married. I am thrilled to be gaining a son. They have been together for seven years. How time flies. I will share photos in my next post. So let’s get to this week’s cross stitch so I can get ready to go.

Starts & Finishes

Just one finish this week:

FINISH: September Stackables by It’s Sew Emma (FQS)

I became obsessed with finishing this project. Just this urge so I worked on it many days in a row until I finally finished. I enjoyed working on this project. Thinking back on the project, I was trying to decide my favorite item in this project. Honestly, it was making each flower. I loved the sunflowers 🌻

With finishing this September project, that leaves me just November and December (as soon as I find my box with all my kits). It would be a sweet accomplishments if I finished this year. That would be three years working on these.

WIP Updates

While I focused on September Stackables, I did still work on other projects. Not many but some. Let me show what I worked on.

September Calendar Crates by Stitching with the Housewives

It was cool to finish the sign on this project. I am working on the stacks of pumpkins on each side now as well as the pumpkin by the house. Love these colors.

November Snapshot by Pine Mountain Designs

I was able to finish the snapshot of leaves this week as well as start on the final snapshot with the turkey. I am looking forward to finishing the final snapshot which will mean we will finish this series maybe in June.

2025 SJ Temp Moon Phases by Climbing Goats Design

I was able to finish up February finally. I am so behind with this year’s temperature project. LOL! I am okay with it, I figure at some point I can get a little more caught up. I updated my working chart with the temp/thread for March and April. I am now ready to start on March! Everything looks so pretty.

Reflections

There is not much left for me to do this month towards my goals. The projects that I have on hand are:

  • February Square Dance (start & finish)
  • Crescent City Velaris (1000 stitches)
  • Need to find Winter Camper
  • Need to find Prairie Schooler

While I do not have much to work on this week to finish my goals, I do have company this week and plans to do tourist stuff. So not sure how much stitching will actually happen. Plus with the wedding, I will be busy!

Everyone have a great weekend and Happy Memorial Day.
