It’s hard to believe that another quarter has flown by. I had 28 projects on my list for second quarter of 2021. I finished four of those. They all happened to be applique projects but they are in use already and look beautiful. Let’s take a look!
FINISH: Blooming Stars
Blooming Stars is up on the all this month to celebrate the birth of our country – United States of America. I loved working on this one and fell in love with all of the fabrics but especially that striped border.
FINISH: Blooming Sunflowers
I am excited that I will get to hang this next month. Sunflowers are so much fun and the teals in this wall hanging go so well with my house.
FINISH: Adoornaments Hearts
While I did not finish it in time to hang in 2021, this is ready for next year. I loved the fact that I purchased on the laser cuts for this one. That bow would not have turned so perfect if I had to hand cut it nor the word Love.
FINISH: Adoornaments Pot of Gold
It was a big celebration when I finished this one as it was the last in the series that I needed to do. I always love a good rainbow and this was is very pretty!
Quarter Three Goals
Of the remaining Q1 wips, I am carrying forward 12 to Quarter 3. Of the remaining Q2 wips, I will only be carrying forward 11 of those 12. I am dropping the Singing in the Rain finish. But I will be adding two new projects for a total of 25 possible finishes for this quarter.
I still have 11 quilts out of 12 for my APQ Resolution Challenge still to finish. With the arrival of my new long arm this weekend, I have my fingers crossed to make a bigger dent in that list.
In addition to these quilts, I have finished assembling my first mystery quilt – Name of the Rose. It is ready to be quilted after piecing the back.
I am down to only four applique projects for this quarter that have all been fused and layered.
I have the following sewing projects on my list: 3 table runners, 1 pieced wall hanging, 2 potholders, 1 mask, 1 project bag, and a set of placemats.
Wrap Up
I will be on the road for half of July and August so wish me luck on finishing stuff. I am excited to get my new long arm just wondering when I will have time to learn to use it. I currently do not even know how to load a quilt on it. LOL!
Good luck everyone on your goals! Happy Trails,
Peggy
WOW! You’ve got lots of beautiful projects! Love the applique finishes — I made the same charm pack table runner for my daughter a couple of years ago — I like how Daniela Stout includes a pattern with her fabric. I’m also making rail fence placemats from a Honey Bun.
Congrats on the new longarm – looking forward to future finishes.
Safe travels!
My goodness! You have many projects! They are all truly beautiful regardless of their stage of finish. Youtube will be your friend with the longarm. I recommend joining longarming groups in social media. You can pose a question and wisdom answers. Safe travels!
