This particular post is so much faster than any of the others mostly because if you are slow stitching, you really can’t have too many ongoing projects if you actually want to finish them. I do really love English Paper Piecing. It is so satisfying seeing all those tiny stitches.
1920 Farmer’s Wife Quilt
This block is another block with a lot of small pieces. There are a lot of these yellow and white half square triangles to piece together. In the last four weeks, it has not been necessary for me to take Shaun to hockey except on Fridays for an hour. I don’t even have that stitchy time this week.
Lost & Found Quilt by Paperpieces.com
This one always stitches faster because we have 1, 2, and 3 inch hexagons with the 1 inch equilateral triangles. When I did the fabric pull for this block, I did not have the colors called for. So far, I am loving the colors I did pull.
This week found me pawing through my Kaffee Fassett fabrics pulling fabrics for blocks 17 and 18. Since we are on the backside of this project (just 8 blocks left), my fabric choices are diminished greatly.
Ruby’s Double Diamond Garden Quilt
Surprisingly enough, I got a lot done on this block in the past month. That is two hours worth a work displayed in all of its glory – Teal, cream, and brown block.
As mentioned last time, I cut a few more blocks, I just need to baste them as this is my last prepared block.
New Hexagon Projects Non-Update
This week found me trying out different backgrounds for my potholders. Above you see a mostly black background. I am having a hard time deciding between black and gray. Decisions. Decisions. Decisions.
Wrap Up
I have been receiving my EPP quilty boxes and am accumlating quite a few new projects. I have been in the monthly club since July last year. I am wondering if I should stop soon since I probably have more projects than I could ever finish……. Although to be honest, most of the monthly projects are small wallhangings.
A quick read this week. Hope you found something to inspire you. Thank you for stopping by and reading my blog.
