Hi Everyone! Can’t believe it has been a week already. Time flies when you are having fun! I am not even sure what I did this past week. Not much on the creative front. I have kind of lost my mojo, but I keep soldiering on knowing it will eventually return.
I will be linking up with Carol again this week.
What Got Done This Week
I really didn’t work in the sewing studio this week. The only think I actually accomplished is just:
- Finished my Spring Wall Hanging which is now hanging in my kitchen.
- Cut April Monthly Color Challenge block
- Printed May Monthly Color Challenge pattern
APQ Resolution 2023 Update
- January – Mama Gypsy Quilt – Ready to Quilt
- February – Rainbow Half Square Triangle Quilt – Needs Borders
- March – Tula Pink Tiny Beast Quilt – Needs Borders
- April – Rainbow Log Cabin Quilt – Needs top & bottom border
- May – Halloween Quilt – Ready to Quilt
To Do List for Week of May 2nd
Most of these are a carry forward from last week:
- Buy some more bobbins.
- Finish Love Note Potholders (at least one set)
- Finish Flowers Wall Hanging
- Applique On Wander Lane – Shamrock Ridge House block
- Make 4 more March BOMs
- Sew April Monthly Color Challenge block
- Cut one more Scrappiness is Happiness block
- Cut 2 more Sweet Childhood Memories blocks
- Cut another week of Tula Pink Butterfly Quilt
- Sew 2 Scrappiness is Happiness blocks
- Rewatch YouTube video on Long Arm maintenance
- Load Mama Gypsy on long arm.
Wrap Up
To help get my mojo back, I am going to try and spend 15 minutes every day doing something quilt related – sewing, cutting, planning, YouTube, stitching, etc. Anything to help me get through my current road block.
I found out this week that we will NOT be having a hockey tournament this month which relieves a lot of the pressure. I have such a build up of ready to go quilt tops, I am starting to feel antsy about finishing them. This is a good thing, because it means that action is soon to follow the restless feeling. It is a goal this month to quilt all of my APQ Resolution quilts and maybe (if I get on a roll) the other ones that are ready to quilt. First step is machine maintenance! Everything else is easy peasy after that.
The weather here in San Jose has been all over the place this past week. One day it was 88F. A few days later the high was 55F. Crazy stuff. It even rained today.
Thanks for stopping by. I send good vibes out in the universe that all of you make progress on your goals!

Maybe some day I will have time to have such a long to-do list like you do!
Hi Peggy! I know your first picture is showing the wonderful stitching on your Spring hanging, but it sure reminds me of one of your kitty’s tails. It’s even the correct color! Your buttonhole stitching looks perfect and the thread matches so nicely. I have to agree with the meme. Distractions are everywhere. Good luck avoiding them and pursuing your list. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
LOL! Roseanne. Looking at it, you are so right. Thanks for the complements on my Spring Wall hanging. I have learned over the years that the thread doesn’t have to be a perfect match in order to blend in nicely. Somewhere, I remember someone mentioned erring on the side of lighter. Have a great weekend
Your spring wall hanging is lovely! Your San Jose weather sounds a bit like ours here in north Texas. Love that saying about a good quilter – lol!
Thanks Linda for the kind words!
