To Do Tuesday #165

We made it to 2026 my quilty friends! I hope you are enjoying the new year. We have had some interesting weather for this year already here in Vancouver, Washington. We have had rain, sunshine, sleet and in the mountains there was fresh powder then it rained. It all melted here. I am snug as a bug. The weather hasn’t bothered me at all.

I will linking up with Carol @ Quilt Schmilt for To Do Tuesday Link Up. Check it out.

To Do Tuesday #149

Hello Everyone! Hope July is relaxing. It has been a hot one here in Washington State this July but not as bad as last year. We are catching a few more hot days this week before dropping back down in the 70s (Yipee).

Since heat rises, the sewing room gets a little toasty even with the AC running full blast. Luckily I only have to worry about that a few times a year. The plan is to link up with Carol over at Quilt Schmilt for To Do Tuesday again this week. Some of the ladies have so very cool projects. Come check it out!

To Do Tuesday #145

Oops! Has it been two weeks? Sorry about that. I got wrapped up with guests again. This time it was my brother Scott in from Brooklyn, New York. He stayed with me a few days before heading down to Corvallis to see his grandkids. It was awesome seeing him. It has been a year. The most exciting thing we did was do a hike at

It was a beautiful day for a hike – sunny & 70F. Only issue I had was that it said it was 2 miles but it was really 3 miles 🥾🤪. I survived. This hike is not an easy hike. There is a lot of elevation. I opted to go UP the steepest part and come down the sloping hillside. As always, coming down is harder than going up. Great hike though! Great company.

To Do Tuesday #143

Whew! What a chaotic two weeks! My daughter Caitlin is happily married and getting ready to two weeks of camping (and half marathons) with her new hubby at Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. The wedding day went off without a hitch. It was great to see my grandson Shaun after almost six weeks. Here are a few photos from the wedding day:

To Do Tuesday #25

I don’t know about you, but my week went really well. I got some serious sewing time and made some incredible progress. Starting with our monthly zoom quilting call all the way through the weekend. There was a moment,

Hello Everyone! Can you believe it is July already?! Wow that is fast. Summer just began and here we are in the middle already. Today people are here cleaning my solar panels and my windows. Unfortunately they left the door open and so far I have only seen 2 of my 3 cats. But if they are in hiding, it could be a while before I know if someone escaped before I closed the door. Luckily this is their normal naptime.

I will be linking up with Texas Quilt Gal for this week’s To Do Tuesday. See above for link

2022 New Year … New Goals

It’s been a while since I posted anything. The past summer found me on the road more than not. Once again, I had computer issues again so here we are more than six months later. I had to switch over to my laptop as Word Press is no longer working on my iPad which makes it a challenging process for sure.

Long Arm Goals for 2022

During 2021 I retired and purchased myself a new long arm machine. It took forever to be delivered and when it was finally delivered, I ended up on the road for six weeks. I got home and I finally did my first quilt. Then Gammill changed the distribution and consumer channels so that means I had no one locally to get help from.
